Weekend Reading

isabel marant

This week was pretty tame.  It’s the first week in a while where I just didn’t make very many plans.  It was nice.  I had a few friends over here and there but mostly spent my nights reading, drinking tea, and snuggling little Aslan.  He is so cute!  And of course, I launched my new site… so thrilled with how it turned out.   A few other highlights – a shopping spree at L’Occitane (I randomly won it during fashion week) where I stocked up on beauty favorites…  a fun dinner with Becca and Clara, and a wine date with Katie.  Also, can we talk about the above coat?  It’s Isabel Marant, of course.  Dying dying dying over her S/S 14 collection (currently on Moda Operandi)

How pretty are these handmade jewelry dishes?  Such a fun project.

J.Crew is offering 40% off of all sale.  (Use code EXTRA40) So good.  I snagged this cozy night shirt.

This video might make you weepy.  So incredibly sweet.

I always love Bradley’s Get the Look street style posts.  This one is especially good (love the red + leopard!)

And because of her post, I want a red dress to wear with my leopard coat.  This one is currently in my cart.

Nicolette is pretty in pink, and I want some glitter shades.

I’m on the prowl for a pair of great over the knee boots.  These are perfect.

Alicia’s travel posts are making me pretty jealous.  Loved her recent Prague photo diary and these Paris Stripes.

Did you see Ron Burgundy’s Dodge Durango Campaign?  I died laughing.

I thought this profile of John was a really inspiring read.  If you work in fashion or are looking to work in fashion, read it.

Really cool geometric art.

This sponge landed on my desk this week, and I really love it.  Gets my skin super clean without irritating it.  Review to come soon! 😉

DIY Burberry Jeweled Trench.  Wow.

Loved these pumpkin candles – such a fun Fall DIY.

And I shared my five Fall style essentials on Refinery29.

Sounds like a great, low-key week. I loved your article on Refinery 29-you’re right, less is more! I’m always trying to pare down my closet and just invest in things I really love/things that are timeless. Like that Isabel Marant coat-um, obsessed. That is so gorgeous. Hope you have a great weekend!
