This week was a hectic one. Work was busy busy so I only snuck out for a few FW activities, but there were some fun moments in there. Highlights for me were (obviously) the J.Crew presentation, and a fun little soiree at Tiffany & Co. to toast the Atlas Collection. I’m ready to be a recluse for a while… sleep sounds really great right now. I finished Dark Places by Gillian Flynn on Thursday, and just started Where Did You Go Bernadette. (If you have any good thriller recommendations (something a la Gone Girl and Reconstructing Amelia, I’d be so grateful.) Besides reading, I don’t have a ton planned which makes me happy. A (much needed) manicure/pedicure and a few lady dates with girlfriends… but that’s it. Lots of R&R. Whatever you are up to, I hope it’s fab!
A few fave things from this week:
OTTE is offering 20% off sitewide. Just use code: FALL20EA. I would get this little Phillip Lim pretty.
This is the best outfit. That’s all.
So, so excited about Emerson Fry’s Fall collection. Every season I buy one or two pieces. I think it is going to be this silver skirt this year.
Neutrals + Kitties – there’s nothing better!
Dark circle correction, made easy.
This skirt looks like it’s Helmut Lang… but it is only $78.
NYFW x PaperFashion – Katie is just so, incredibly talented.
I’m full-on stalker obsessed with Hallie’s fashion week round-ups. Well-written and just plain fun. Also, I don’t know how she crammed so much in while working full time too. Good job, girl.
This pin. My new mantra.
A grilled peach smoothie? I mean… yum!
How great is this striped sweater? (Love the price, too…)
I can’t stop looking at this cat GIF. Ha.
Is being tired chic?
The lines on this dress are just so good. I want.
I treated myself to these sandals from Joie. I just love them, so much.
I’m reading Reconstructing Amelia right now based on your recommendation, and really enjoying it! If you liked that and Gone Girl, you might like Sister, by Rosamund Lupton. I loved it, definitely a page turner. Hope you have a great weekend!
Just ordered that sweater – so cute! – and made the peach smoothie (with a nectarine). Thanks Grace – Great blog!
that asymmetric skirt is amazing.
OMG, stop. You’re so sweet – thanks for including me! SOON (very soon) you and I are going to have a weekend worth writing about … 🙂
Though in the meantime, I’m ready to be recluse for awhile too. I haven’t left my couch yet today and don’t plan to do so anytime in the near future.
I’ll have to look into those books you mentioned. There’s only so many September issues and episodes of Scandal that can justify my hermit tendencies!!! xoxo
Where Did You Go Bernadette is a good read! A little out there, but sometimes that’s exactly what we need 🙂 Happy weekend!
That Otte promo code isn’t valid?
OK, looks like I need to get some erase paste for the nasty underye circles I’m getting from lack of sleep!! & you’re so right-Hallie has the best NYFW roundups out there 🙂
You always have the best links. I love anything with cats. The cat exercising is great, and the fashion + cats is the best!
Don’t you just love Trouvé?! That is a fantastic skirt!! Great find pretty girl!!!
Hi there! I’d recommend checking out Chevy Stevens if you like thrillers. Her storylines are complex and unlike anything I’ve read — the subjects are intense! She’s got three books total, and I loved them all. Thanks for the rec on Reconstructing Amelia, added it to my library queue (I’m so old school!)
I would recommend any of Tana French’s books. I would start with In the Woods and then read The Likeness. They are amazing!!! If you like Gillian Flynn, you should like her as well.
If you liked Gone Girl and Dark Places, have you read Sharp Objects (also by Gillian Flynn)?
