Weekend Reading | 08.11.2018

weekend reading: all of the best stuff from this week!

Helllllo from Atlanta! I know. All of this travel is getting a little hilarious. It’s so not me to be gone this much and I don’t remember the last time I traveled this much but I have to admit – I’m enjoying it. This is actually a work trip… I’m (hugely honored to be) the keynote speaker at this year’s Blog Societies Conference! My presentation is this morning and then I head back to Brooklyn tonight. Exciting! I haven’t had much time to get out and explore as we are pretty far away from the city and I’ve had a lot of work to do here at the hotel. I think I’m going to have to plan a trip back here so that I can see more of the city!

When I get home from Atlanta I’m home for two days and go to Cape Cod for a hybrid trip – a project for work (another speaking engagement), and a visit with my parents. Whew. I am not used to being away from home so much but it’s definitely been a really fun summer!

I ordered that color blocked sweater from ASOS in a hot second. I’m all about shopping for fall since I’m going to the cooler parts of Europe in early October. There is no end in sight for the heat in southern CA (it usually stays hot in my neck of the woods through late October), so I’m beyond excited for 10 days of cooler temps.

Also, cats ARE the best (duh).

The sweater arrived today and I LOVE it! It’s super soft, the white part at the top isn’t see through and the sleeves are LONG (I’m a few inches taller than you and sleeves are frequently not long enough).

Thanks for the Sunday reading. Since I’m still new … is this something you do every Sunday. If so … YES YES YES!!! It’s better than reading the Sunday paper … yawn! Everything was great but 2 things I will comment on. I love the Time Management tips. In this technology obsessed society, I do think Half -Work is at its peak. I’m a victim and will try my best to change this.
Since you’re a cat Mom, you need to go back to Asia and visit Tokyo. They have cat cafes there. I do understand you have a cat at home which you can pet for free. However if you are planning a trip and missing being around cats, a cat café is the place for you –> http://catmocha.jp/shibuya/ Just an idea.

    Happy Sunday. xo Karen

Yes! I post it every Saturday! So glad you enjoyed it.

Dying to get to Tokyo someday 🙂 We have a cat cafe in New York which I love but I bet they’re even better over there!

So much good things here today. The single girl, def relate. Two things, her friends boyfriends have friends she could meet ?( way better than all the apps, real world option) Second, always have a mix of friends, some couples/singletons. Some with kids. So much more interesting that way. No one ever feels left out
