Weekend Reading

1.19

What a week!  I’ve heard friends describing the flue this year as “the plague” and had thought they were exaggerating until it hit me.  I got into work on Monday morning feeling fine, and by that night I was throwing up with a fever.  By Wednesday night I was mostly better, but wow – it was the sickest I’ve been in ages!  Despite being sick I’ve had a crazy amount of work to get done for both the day job and the blog because today I left for Sundance!  But everything came together and as you read this, I’m en route to Park City for the next nine days.  This is my third consecutive year going, and it’s become one of my favorite times of year.  The movies, the parties, the snow… the absolute best!

Without further adieu, here are my favorite things from this week.

mastering the tuck.

looking for a glitzy way to dress up your coffee table? this is kind of amazing.

a miu miu rhinestone shoe DIY (my sis wore the original to her wedding!)

speaking of my sister… she shared some pretty big news.

meg launched her t-shirt line!

i’m starting to plan out my fashion week outfits, and picked up this skirt.  a splurge, but exactly what i was looking for… i know i’ll wear it til it falls apart!

lulu frost launched her men’s/unisex line (so good.)

i loved this pom pom scarf DIY.

the cutest valentine’s day DIY, like ever.  loved this.

surf or ski?  these photos struck my fancy.

i loved julia’s vintage curls video.

go play baublebar’s super fun fortune teller game!

i love discovering a great (new to me) DIY blog… fabric paper glue is a new favorite.

really digging mirror shine right now… thinking of DIYing something like this clutch.

in case you missed them, two tulle posts!  my manifesto lookbook shoot and an anthropologie inspired DIY.

lastly, dena is now two thirds of the way there in terms of fundraising for her medical bills.  i donated again this week, and if you can, i highly encourage you to do the same.  her blog is a true inspiration, and i’m amazed by what she’s done with it/how positive she stays through the best + worst of it.  if you can, please please help.

So many amazing links. The diy miu miu shoes are amazing! I can’t wait to try them out on some shoes I have. I am also excited to see your sisters website. I joined her Facebook page so I know when it launches.
