Weekend Reading.

Happy WEEKEND! Okay I don’t know why I wrote that in all caps, I am just feeling excited about the weekend I guess? Last night I had a nice little introvert night (the best after a plans-packed week!), and besides that I have two yoga classes, brunch plans with my sister, and a fun little blog project today (see more on Instagram stories… Krystal and I are headed to the Liberty trade show and I’m going to make a video about the trends we see there – it’s been a long time since my last video!) I hope you guys have a great weekend… take some time for you and relax a little, if you can! Somehow I have a LOT more links than usual – hope you like them! PS – How fun is this eye mask? My FAVORITE print… it makes me so happy!

I loved Julia’s tips for having a better morning.

My friend Lydia wrote an excellent piece about the lack of diversity at fashion week.

A good trick for beating static cling.

It’s time to stock up on pretty jewels! BaubleBar is having a giant sale… with up to 80% off – prices go back up after the weekend! I didn’t think the prices were real. My favorite ball drop earrings are only $12,  and these huge tassel earrings are also only $12. Get shopping!

I totally agree with this inexpensive decorating advice… (I’d also suggest a can of paint!)

You know how much I love yellow and this striped dress is just so pretty! #need

Loved this outfit on Julia so much – and her honesty about body confidence.

Five tricks your mind plays that prevent you from making good decisions!

I love organized packing and am pretty excited about these marbled packing cubes.

Grown up hair bows.

This striped top is so cute – and it’s only $35. Seriously!

Blair put together a little rainbow of past outfit photos and I loved it… all of that color is certainly very inspiring this time of year!

How’s this for a dreamy Paris escape!?

These tasseled sandals are just everythin

This deodorant information is sort of mind blowing. I am intrigued/excited to try doing it.

Really, really into this yellow gingham crop top + wrap skirt combo.

I loved Krista’s post about keeping her relationship private.

One of my favorite blogs got a very pretty makeover.

I’ve been thinking about getting a Barbour jacket and really love this one – what do we think?

I saw her wearing it in person and Hitha’s gnocchi tee simultaneously makes me hungry + cracks me up.

The sweetest floral dress at a great price.

Some really great book news!

Planning a vacation? Here’s where the dollar is strongest right now.

The cutest little vacation dress… for only $29!

Kat looks stunning in winter white! Loving these snowy photos!!!

I’m obsessed with this bodysuit… shirts always come untucked so this fixes that!

Regarding the great yoga pants debate; The Cut got it perfectly right!

You all know how much I love kombucha – this margarita sounds SO good!

I really like the look of this open weave sweater – feel like I’d get a LOT of wear out of it.

Jenn looks so pretty in this embellished mini dress.

I mean, I need emerald green pumps in my life, right?

Something I’m personally working on: being more direct and straightforward!!!

I always love Heather’s beauty recommendations – this is a longgggg list!

These “molten gold mules” are so chic – and under $100.

Adored Jacey’s lazy girl beauty hacks – these tips are great!

I love the oversized braids on these sandals!

Really good dating advice.

Loved Mackenzie’s essay about being herself on the Internet.

I need another lace top like a hole in the head but I reallly do just love this one!

I’ve always wanted to spend more time in Shoreditch – loved Alicia’s photos!

A chic printed blouse from one of my new favorite designers.

You know I love a good striped dress

Pretty sure this confirms it: scrunchies are BACK! Also from Man Repeller (their content has been so good) how to look/feel/be more put together.

Loved the mind trick article. I still think that body suits are the most comfortable thing I ever wore. Given that I was around the first time these were popular ( think early 90s) and I follow my ” If you were around for the first time, you should probably not participate when it comes back” rule ( no judging others who do.. just my own personal rule) I will sit this one out but loved the look of them still 🙂

    Have a great weekend!

    • Haha, agreed that they are SO comfy!!!!
I was around when they were first popular too so I don’t know what that says but I think they’ve gotten better/more flattering/comfortable! xo

I, too, enjoyed Mackenzie’s piece on being herself on her blog. This is something I think you do exceedingly well (also props to Cup of Jo, if there is national tragedy I always know that blog will cover it ahead of anything else). I think since you have the platform you do, it’s important to share what you believe and what’s on your mind, not what you think people want to hear. I crave authentic spaces on the internet and The Stripe definitely is one!

  7. Yes to the Barbour jacket! My husband just got me one for my birthday and I wasn’t sure I liked it at first but after one or two wears I’m now on board!

Yes to scrunchies, Paris, and packing cubes! No to bows and 4 inch heels – I would definitely trip. I saw an ad for limited edition Emerald Tieks so stay tuned!!! Back from kickboxing class and trying to understand Olympic curling…..the athletes don’t wear skates and talk a lot!!GO USA!!!

    • YES! Let me know how you like the Tieks. I loved how comfy they were but the bright turquoise bottoms always bugged me!! Go USA!!!
