Weekend Reading.

happy Labor Day Weekend! Hooray. I thought about going home to see my parents or planning a spontaneous trip, but ended up deciding to stay in the city. I have to admit, I kinda love being here on long weekends. The city empties out, you can get into all the best restaurants, and it will give me a chance to prep for fashion week. I’m not going to much (I rarely do) but I am going to a few presentations and shows for brands I actually shop + wear (think: Alice & Olivia, Ulla Johnson, Kate Spade) as that helps me get inspired for the blog. And of course… all the parties. I’m half dreading it, half excited. Let the outfit planning begin!

LOVE: Please stop trying to “empower” women with cutesy titles. I’ve been saying how much I hate the word Girlboss for a while and this article articulates it perfectly.

I love yellow for Fall and this sweater would be so cute with skinny jeans and boots.

As someone who typically does white or black on her nails, I like the idea of switching things up and trying one of these pale shades for Fall.

How cute is this $55 off the shoulder dress?

I have to try making these easy, healthy pancakes!

The perfect Fall bag – I love the green/black combo!

Why you should marry a man who understands feminism. Duh, but it’s a great essay.

I’ve been rewatching Gossip Girl this month so I LOVED this piece on reflecting on Gossip Girl fashion, ten years later.

How pretty is this yellow dress?!

LOVE this gingham dress on Mackenzie.

This drape front dress comes in blush + black and would be perfect for the office.

For my fellow GoT addicts, this is fun: Why the ice dragon is an icon.

Adore this ladylike look on Carly.

Pretty sure I need this ultra luxe tote.

I’ve always hated the word “girlboss” too. I find it very cringe-y.
