Hello, weekend! This week was a bit of a rough one… I was feeling pretty overwhelmed with both work and personal stuff. But now we are to the weekend and I’m hoping to relax a little bit. I’ve learned a big lesson this summer I think… I always love to get out of the city on the weekends, but I think I need to implement an “every other weekend” rule next year – otherwise I just wind up stressed, when these trips are supposed to be relaxing! Live and learn, right? Anyway, I have lots of good links for you this week, so I hope you enjoy ’em!!! And if you happen to be in the Hamptons today I am excited to co-host a trunk show at the St. Frank pop-up shop with my dear friend Natalie, of Holst + Lee! Also, I was thrilled to be quoted/included in articles on both WWD and Entrepreneur this week – have a read!

I read that article on MLMs too. Fascinating stuff! It confirmed everything I suspected about them.
agreed!!! such a good read… and so scary!
That MLM article was great, I’ve been having lots of good discussions about it all week! Even though I think a few MLM companies are pretty decent and make good products, the business model is the worst. It’s creepy to see how quickly women get indoctrinated and start doing and saying things that are TOTALLY out of character in the name of being a #girlboss (gag). I’d love to see a lot more regulation in this industry but doesn’t seem like that will happen in this administration…
Also, summer weekends in NYC are the best! You should definitely plan to stay in the city next summer, it’s so quiet and peaceful. And you can get a table just about anywhere 🙂
I agree! I think BeautyCounter is fab, for example. But the rest of them… eeeek! As a woman in my mid-thirties with lots of stay at home mom friends, they’ve overtaken my blog feed!!!
With you on summer weekends here, they are the best. I am looking forward to being in the city for part of this coming weekend.
I saw the “how to be a bigger person” article earlier this week too. I think it’s a great one, and something I need to practice more of!!

Oh good! I love Geri’s blog ! xx
Love the fantastic article on MLM’s. I have a couple of friends that sell LulaRoe, and one is trying to get out and it’t been a rather painful process.
side note: I have never gotten the whole obsession with those leggings and have yet to see a pair that I didnt think were just absolutely hideous. Call me boring but i’ll take plain black any day!
Totally agree – I think they are hideous – and soooo unflattering!
Grace I am an avid consumer and fan of these Weekend Reading posts –I think they could be some of my favorites. This one was awesome too, I bookmarked just about everything! Quick question, how do you store all of the links you plan to share for these posts? Thanks!!!
Aw good!
And to answer your question – I start a blog post at the beginning of the week and then just add to it as the week goes on and I find more things to link to.
