Weekend Reading

Isn’t that just the perfect work space?  When I find myself feeling stressed out/over worked, I often turn to Pinterest and fantasize about the dreamy office + work spaces I see.  The one above is a favorite.  It was another busy week around here.  Work has been absolutely insane.  I got home from California at midnight on Sunday and had to be up early early  for a fun little video shoot at my apartment on Monday morning.  From there, I had a full day of work… when I got home, I crashed.  The week continued at warp speed.  Two highlights were a screening for the bf’s latest documentary, and a fun little DIY party at BaubleBar where we whipped up some pretty jewelry boxes.  (More on that to come.)  I’m excited about everything going on, it’s just been a lot to handle.  At this point, I’m just counting down til next Friday.  Our offices close for the week between Christmas + New Years and that’s when I’ll catch up on my sleep.

Separately, my heart broke yesterday for the families in Connecticut.  I don’t even really know what to say except that it’s one of the most upsetting and horrifying things I’ve ever heard.  Beyond comprehension.  It feels frivolous writing about fashion and silly little things over here.  Life must go on, but I’d  be remiss if I didn’t mention it.

I hope you have a relaxing and restful weekend.  In the meantime, here are a few things from the web that I enjoyed this week.

a delicious looking cocktail.

This is old (but new to me) and made me laugh out loud.  Just so true.

I snagged this ponte sleeve leather jacket.  Obsessed.

a pretty lil earrings DIY.

I want some etched bottles.

loved this sequin sweatshirt DIY.

#officeenvy.

dreaming of vacation.. and wearing this PJK number.

the most brilliant twitter account I’ve seen in a while.

the most elegant ornament DIY… aged mercury glass!

I had two DIYs this week – a festive pom pom necklace and a pretty little cork tree ornament.

name your own nail polish… fun!

Did you see?  I’m accepting contributor applications through the new year.  I’ve been amazed by the overwhelming response and am slowly going through each of your submissions.  I should note that I have had a tremendous amount of fashion/style submissions and am especially eager to bring on contributors in these areas:  home / interiors, entertaining, lifestyle, and DIY.
