Weekend Reading.

How was your week? Mine was pretty great (except for yesterday’s yucky weather – where are those May flowers!?) Have you watched Girlboss on Netflix? That was my binge-watch this week. I wasn’t sure if I would like it but I love Britt Robinson. Besides, after watching 13 Reasons Why and starting The Handmaid’s Tale I needed something light and easy to watch. This was just the thing. Sophia’s character is a bit annoying and unlikeable but it’s still a fun show. As I mentioned yesterday I have my first houseguest (my friend Deirdre!) and while I still don’t have most of my furniture it’s been so fun having company. Annnnd on that note, I just found out that my dining room table and chairs will arrive next week – hooray! Anyway, whatever you are up to, I hope it’s great! Happy weekend, friends!

What happens when your honeymoon sucks?!

Rebecca Taylor does it again.

Ahhh, the good old “Situationship.” Is it ruining romance? (Probably.)

Kat looks stunning in a perfect little black dress… and that bougainvillea makes for the perfect backdrop!

Eek – how amazing does Julia’s kitchen remodel look?! Love!

Ummm these palm tree highball glasses need to be in my apartment immediately.

I love how Chassity’s Schumacher chairs turned out – that striped fabric is exquisite.

Yum! This guacamole recipe sounds sooooo good.

Someone please invite me to a garden party so that I can buy this dress.

I’m considering starting 13 Reasons Why since I’m nearly done with Big Little Lies now, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about it… hmm.

Glad to hear you are liking Girlboss. I watched the first couple of episodes and couldn’t get super into it, but I think I will keep watching to see if it hooks me.

Yeah, it definitely got better. It’s cute but more of a nice breather between all those dramas.

Love this weekly feature and always look forward to it. I just wanted to let you know there are still a couple of glitches. The Cardigan leads to the statement necklace and, the statement necklace routes to the severed foot article. Hope you have a good weekend.

Hi Lori! I think it might be a caching issue as I just checked on my computer and the links are properly linked. So sorry about the glitches earlier! xx

It’s a hard call knowing when to answer emails. I like it when they give me a deadline: by the end of the week, ASAP, at your convenience, etc.

I totally agree. Usually I am pretty on top of mine, but then all I have to do is take one day off to get myself into a problem – my inbox can fill up so quickly if not careful!

I couldn’t even make it through one episode of Girlboss. The character is SO unlikeable. One of the worst characters ever written IMHO.

I agree that she is so so unlikeable! I still couldn’t stop watching!!! Funny enough now I’m getting caught up on GIRLS – and those ladies are just as unlikeable, though a bit more real and relatable.

I think the situationship” is all too real for many people. You deserve the best and only you can give it to yourself. Please choose, don’t just settle for anyone that comes your way. “show people how to treat you” ( the golden rule) is some of the best advice ever given to me by a mentor. This works for friends and lovers. Thanks for all the weekend picks Grace! Love your dining table!

That’s such good advice. My friend says something similar… “When people show you who they are… listen!”
