Weekend Reading.

Happy weekend, friends! Oh my… it sure is nice to be home. This week was spent playing catch-up and getting back on US time (the jet lag was real!) I also picked up a little bit of a cold while abroad – yuck! I have to say, I am totally sold on the benefits of apple cider vinegar. I had a big spoonful every morning this week and by today it was completely gone. One fun thing I did this week was see a musical (Come From Away) on Broadway on Tuesday with a girlfriend. It was so sweet and heartwarming. The plot was entirely true which was cool as well. It takes place in Newfoundland on 9/11. Over 200 planes (and 6,000 passengers!) landed in their tiny town – the musical is all about what happens and how the town takes everyone in. I would definitely recommend it. It inspired me to update my New York City Guide a bit. I added a few new fav restaurants + bars and also added sections for museums and Broadway shows. Annnyway, I hope you have a great weekend – I am so excited for the Oscars tomorrow night!

If you saw my instagram story you saw that I did a little closet makeover this week with Fitz! It was amazing – it’s so nice to have some order in my closet. They have a special offer for my readers… book a Fitz appointment before March 30th and get $50 off. Just send a note to bookings@yourfitz.com andmention “TheStripe” to redeem the offer.

Having just returned from Paris, I adored this guide to winter dressing à la Parisienne.

I loved this feature on my friend Nicolette Mason. She’s such an incredible inspiration.

Adore the open back on this otherwise classic white blouse.

Love love loved Julia’s living room makeover… it just looks so perfect and pretty, and a lot of the changes she made were not very expensive.

Psychological tricks that will help you win at life.

If you are still looking for a great winter coat, this dreamy wrap coat is now half off.

Why ginger tea is so good for you!

Jenn looks so fab in her palm leaf scarf.

These embroidered booties could pass for Dolce Gabbana but they’re not. They’re $60.

More big news from Instagram. I experimented with this feature this week and thought it was fun.

These (under $100) mules are so fab – I love the metallics!

Loved these bows on Blair.

I thought this article on body positivity took a really interesting/unique approach. Definitely food for thought.

This sequin/embroidered maxi dress is all sorts of cool.

This is so cool: Burberry’s February collection was inspired by Henry David Moore (one of my fav sculptors).

These furry sneakers are just the most fun.

Made me laugh (warning, it’s political): How to Survive the Next Four Years Like a French Woman.

Liz looks so cute in this outfit, but what I really loved were her thoughts on finding balance and being happy.

Love Talbots’ new collection with Dress for Success and O Magazine. The accessories are particularly cute. I love this rose enamel bangle and this scarf. (30% of proceeds from the collection benefit DFS).

The perfect off-the-shoulder blouse… at a great price.

Mmmm… this turmeric latte sounds delish – and so good for you!

The tulle sleeves on this pretty tee give it such a gorgeous upgrade.

Totally obsessed with the dramatic sleeves on this blouse.

The best beauty looks from London Fashion Week.

Some harsh words on being late. Admittedly, I am bad at this. Making “late-no-more” a goal this year!

This Mara Hoffman wrap dress is the definition of happy dressing.

Mackenzie’s girls night out look is so cute – I want her top!

I’ve been making a similar/the same turmeric latte from goop for a while now – it’s amazing! Perfectly smooth & spicy. I use honey instead of coconut sugar since I always have honey on hand 🙂

I made the goop one too! Love the suggestion to do honey instead of coconut sugar.

I was just looking at that Mara Hoffman dress the other night! I’m a sucker for anything rainbow-y and cheery (can’t recall if I ever mentioned I bought that J. Crew rainbow tweed blazer you posted here months ago and it is the BEST — thank you!).

It’s actually available on Rent the Runway if anyone is interested in testing it out. It’s on my “maybe” list for a spring wedding, though I didn’t love the way it fit on the RTR model (kind of shapeless and hip-y). Maybe a different belt would help…? Still, SO pretty!

Thanks for posting the link to your travel guide – we were in NYC last weekend and were trying to figure out what to do on Saturday night – visiting the Cooper Hewett museum was perfect!
