Weekend Reading.

Happy weekend friends! Today I am driving out to East Hampton with my best friend. She was invited to a fancy dinner party at Dopo La Spiaggia and I am her ever-so-lucky plus one. We’re just going for the night (and crashing at a friend’s house out there) but I’m really excited to get out of the city for a little adventure… and I love the beach this time of year. I had a fun little week. I mostly just focused on my health (see ten easy things I’m doing here) and my work,  but last night I did go see Rolling Stones Exhibitionism, which was just so good! If you are a Stones fan and are in the city, you have to go! (It ends March 12th). Whatever you are up to, I hope it’s great… and that you stay warm – it has been SO cold here! PS – Thank you SO much for your kind words on my “year in review” post. I am loving all of your comments and am so excited about everything we have in store for 2017!

I kinda like this mindset: Screw New Year’s Resolutions!

I will have my January Reading List out for you next week, but in the meantime I finished The Perfume Collector last night and can’t stop thinking about it. One of the best books I’ve read in ages.

As someone who really likes cleaning her ears (sorry if that sounds weird!) this news is a bit disconcerting.

I bought this sweater in cream (it will be on the blog next week) and have literally been living in it. It’s all I want to wear, so I got it in black, too.

Thirteen things to give up, if you want to be successful.

I loved (and related to) Julia’s post on mindfulness, especially what she said about working out. I too, am very guilty of extreme phases of exercise coupled with extreme phases of laziness.

I picked up these booties during the Nordstrom Half-Yearly sale and am so glad I did. I wore them every day this week and they’re only $85!

You’ve gotta be kidding me… now, living alone is bad for your health?

This might be one of the cutest striped sweaters I’ve ever seen.

I really love the sounds of this gentle three-day cleanse.

My friend Mackenzie is moving back to the East Coast! In the meantime I loved her home tour – what a beautiful space.

I have a serious Zimmermann problem – but how pretty is this little white dress? In love.

I pinned nearly every single one of these inspiring New Years quotes!

To help motivate, I scooped up some new workout gear. I got this tank, this tank/bra combo, and this mesh-back sweatshirt.

The French Girl approach to online dating.

This little West Village apartment gives me all of the feels. Definite goals, friends, goals.

I am a huge fan of a well-placed ruffle. The ruffle on this shift dress makes it look like art. (+so much more expensive than it’s $149 price tag)

Merritt’s “At Any Age” series is always one of my favs… loved her winter date night looks so much!

Loved this vibrant look on Jenn… but really, it is all about her clutch – so good!!!

I ordered this cute mini dress. It will be so cute with tights and over the knee boots.

I loved reading Jess’s post about setting goals for the New Year.

It’s officially mitten season. I love this cozy pair!

In my twitter rage about all of the bots, I was directed to Cathy’s post about blogging etiquette. Spot on (blunt) advice.

I’m a total beauty junkie and always love hearing what products people love. Meghan’s 2016 Beauty Discoveries was a fun read.

Very tempted by this cashmere cape – it’s now 40% off… eeek.

Made me laugh: the 30 most disappointing under 30.

About ear cleaning- I had a really terrible sinus infection when I was out of town and couldn’t get to a dr. Hydrogen peroxide worked wonders for me and I still put a few drops in my ear when they get itchy… but they can still pry the q-tips out of my cold dead hands/ ears.

Love the 30 most disappointing under 30! What a fun way to balance out all those most successful, most wealthy, most everything articles that often leave you feeling a bit down on yourself. Hope you’ve had a fab weekend, Grace!

The booties are sold out at Nordstrom! Can you share the brand and style so I can try to find them somewhere else?
