Weekend Reading.

Weekend Reading // The Stripe Blog

Hi from Richmond! I fly back to New York this morning. The trip was so much fun! Three jam-packed days… I can’t wait to share more with you. This trip has been jam packed and busy – for that reason I’m planning to lay pretty low this weekend. I’m reeeaaally looking forward to some cozy sweatpants time and just spending some time getting caught up on the old to-do list. In the meantime, I cannot WAIT to share everything we did in Charlottesville + Richmond. Both towns are so incredible. Whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s great. Happy weekend!!! xo

A helpful post – how to make friends as an adult.

I completely copied Hallie on this faux leather jacket. It looks so good on her in these photos and I can attest – it’s just as amazing in person!

This dress makes such an incredible statement – and it comes in both red AND black.

What happens when you stop wearing makeup.

Is this the perfect lace top?

Whoever set the debate to Dirty Dancing is brilliant. I can’t stop watching this!

Loved this boho look on Kat.

This little black jumpsuit is so chic and would be perfect for pretty much every Fall event.

Julia is the queen of the blanket scarf. Loved her guide to tying them! She makes it look so easy.

This layered lace dress is a) so chic and b) such a steal!!

Loved this piece on “social menopause.” I’ve definitely gone through the change.

Pajama tops always intimidate me (probably because I would not look chic.. I’d look like I just didn’t get dressed!) I love how Bradley styled hers – such a gorgeous look.

I am crushing so hard on this J.Crew pink coat!!!

You know I love a good pop of red. How pretty does Carly look in these photos?!

Loving all of Rebecca Taylor’s new arrivals… especially this dress and this jacket.

LOZ. How to look smarter in meetings.

Loved Mackenzie’s cozy pocket sweater. She looks comfy and cute without looking sloppy. I need more outfits like that.

The perfect going-out top / layering piece. Need both colors!

Are you keeping the right company? Loved this piece!

I scooped up this sweater this week. I love the lace back!

Jess’s tips for traveling alone were so spot on.

You’ve cat to be kitten me: Croissant French Toast – yummmmm.

A gorgeous take on the velvet trend.

Hi Grace, I just got back from a solo trip in Mexico City. Amazing! I’m already plotting my return. Good tips. I also made sure my loved ones knew where I was; sent them a message once I ch cud into my hotel etc. I also took quest from the other women I saw walking around alone and confirmed with my concierge about safety. I took the metro( underground) so crazy crowded but, I had to check it out. 5 pesos is about 30 cents, so you can’t beat the price. People, both men and women were very kind, even protective. The main thing is I listened to my gut. I have to say, I never once felt unsafe. Not wearing makeup. I alway remember, “if all that makeup make a 15 year old model look 25……I see this with older women mostly, but really girls, you don’t need that much. It’s a turn off to most guys too. I’m all for better skin care, so you need less. Makeup is meant to enhance. Thanks again for a fun weekend piece. Ox Cy

Also really liked Kelly’ s piece on keeping the right company. I’ve also noticed, the more emotionally healthy and clear I am/ have become, the easier it is to spot the users, takers and messed up creeps. It fact, I find myself running in the opposite direction, fast!
