Weekend Reading.

Happy Weekend! This was a busy one. Lots of events, etc. and my family in town for Becca’s big book launch on Thursday night. Last night my dinner plans ended up getting canceled so I had a cozy night in – sweatpants and takeout… such a nice change of pace. And tonight, I am going to see Hamilton. Finally! I bought myself a ticket as an early birthday present to myself. I am going by myself which feels a little bit strange but I’ve been dying to see it and would have felt guilty roping a friend in to spend  all that money. I’m beyonddd excited to see it, though. Kinda goes along the lines of what I talked about here… doing the things I want to do, whether or not I have someone to do them with.

Before we dive into the links… two things I wanted to share! My sister and I did a little interview on the Lulu Frost blog! So thrilled with how it turned out!!! And also, I am hosting a shopping party to benefit the ASPCA at J.Crew next week. If you are in New York, I’d love to see you… more info here!

I loved this piece on How to be a Writer.

I’m attempting to keep my tan going strong (at least til my 35th birthday party in a couple weeks) with this organic self tanner. I love it!

This apple crisp (my fave Fall dessert) only requires ten minutes of prep time and looks amazing. Cheat day, here I come.

I am going to upgrade to the iPhone 7… and once I do, I am totally buying this marble case for it!

I loved this cozy Fall outfit on Jess.

I am so happy that block heels are on trend this season (so much more comfortable than stilettos)! I am presently crushing on these gold pumps.

I had lunch with Julia last week and she was wearing this cute outfit. It’s even better in person!

Liz looks so adorable in these photos. I want her faux leather jacket!

A yummy + healthy breakfast idea.

These loafers are so cute – and they come in a bunch of fun metallic shades, too!

How dreamy is Caroline’s Zimmermann dress? That brand can do no wrong in my book. (This one is so pretty, too!)

I love/want/need these boots.

A fun walk down memory lane..

I really liked Man Repeller’s guide to the Spring 17 trends from fashion week.

You might have noticed that I’ve been into wearing just one statement cuff. This knotted gold bangle is just so chic.

Dreamy blue + white bedroom inspiration.

Possibly the prettiest white lace top ever?

It was fun reading about Moda Operandi’s very exclusive New York store.

You might have seen my cluttered bathroom. This chic bathroom is giving me so much inspiration right now. Time for a massive purge.

How cool are these boots? I mean, they are ridiculously expensive… but it could be a fun DIY to attempt!

Thought this was interesting: why more and more millennials don’t want kids.

Hi Grace, how exciting for you and your sister. I also, was one of three sisters. I’m the middle. My older sister passed away suddenly last December ( you might remember). It was hard to do anything for awhile. One of the first decisions I made for myself was to take a solo trip to Mexico City. I’m with you! Be fearless ! Life is so short, we need to cease it. I’m overdue for a trip to see my sister TINA ( she’s in Brooklyn) and I’m definitely going to Charleston next year! Thanks for the daily joy. Ox Cy

If you DO come to Brooklyn I would love to get coffee! It would be fun to meet after all the back and forth commenting over the years!! And I’m so glad you are going to Charleston – truly one of my most favorite places!!!

Grace, you are the sweetest! TINA ( my sissy from Brooklyn) is comingthis weekend, so we will have a little family time then. I would love to get coffee. I have nothing in the books yet, but I’m overdue for a trip east. I’m hoping to get to the food and wine fest in Charleston next year. I’ll be rereading your blog to get the inside scoop first. I think I’ going to Nordie’s this weekend to get a pair of block heels. Love your gold pick, but I need something a bit lower.

Thanks for sharing these links. I found the article about why millennial aren’t having kids particularly interesting, and sparked an interesting dialogue amongst my friends. If you haven’t seen, there’s a response on the same site here: http://www.therooster.com/blog/i-feel-bad-millennials-don’t-want-any-children that presents the other side of the argument.

    Thanks again for sharing.
