Weekend Reading.

A relaxing weekend away // photo taken by Grace Atwood at the Caudalie founders' home in Hampton Bays, New York.

Happy long weekend, friends! I hope that you are somewhere fun, soaking up the last bits of summer. It’s so crazy to me that Labor Day Weekend is here and next week is fashion week… but I’ve already said that. #brokenrecord. Seriously though, where does the time go!? I had a fun week. I mentioned it earlier but I got to see an advanced screening of The Light Between Oceans on Monday night and it was just so good. Heartbreaking but good. And an all-star cast. I thought about skipping weekend links this week, but had so many good ones to share… so hopefully some of you are still dropping by over the weekend (though I wouldn’t blame you for staying off the computer – get outside)! Enjoy! xox – Grace

If you look at one thing this week; make it 50 Moments. Every day, for fifty days, they will be releasing a new video highlighting a member of the homeless community in New York. I will warn you, it made me cry. I’m following the videos on Instagram + Facebook.

A good read for bloggers + non-bloggers alike about social media advertising + disclosure.

I’m in love with this tie-waist striped dress. Also, the price.

I loved Joanna’s post with all her social media resources. She’s inspired me to do a bit more scheduling… right now besides Facebook, I do everything in real-time. (Insert cringe-face emoji).

Would you wear metallic sneakers? These are so fun!

Thought this was a great read (if you’ve ever lived in New York you will love it). On leaving New York and coming back…

On the other side of the coin – the best quotes about life in New York.

In my cart: the perfect little black dress. This one is going to be so good with over the knee boots…

My friends at Holst & Lee are having a massive Labor Day Sale. Take 30% off sitewide with code LABOR. This tassel necklace is everything.

I loved Lenny’s interview with Amy Schumer.

I’m all about a good block heel this season (and in life – they’re so much more comfortable). These are amazing.

The history of pearls.

This hoodie sounds like the most amazing thing ever – especially if you travel a lot! (Seriously – watch the video).

Pretty sure I need this “hot sh!t!” friendship bracelet.

Merritt always tracks down the prettiest things. This week’s Edit of charcoal new arrivals is so goooood.

This piece about being self-employed really resonated with me. I touched on it a bit in my Q&A, but she really summed it up so nicely.

I’m tempted to buy these drop earrings in every color. Such a good staple.

A great read (written by my friend who just left her gig as co-founder of Birchbox a few months ago) about taking time off when you have a Type-A personality.

Currently reading this… it’s so good, so far!

So obsessed with Sally’s off-the-shoulder stripes.

And Mackenzie’s backless stripes! Not sure I could pull this off but it’s so cute on her.

The perfect slouchy blouse. It’s elegant yet cool – and only $60!

Proud of my uber-talented friend Blair – her collab with Formula X is the coolest.

How darling are these printed ballet flats?

Awesome diet + fitness advice from my fave Soul Cycle instructor.

The dreamiest home in the Greek Islands.

The embroidered dress I wanted all summer is now on sale… do I buy and wear next year?! Unclear.

I love the the quotes about New York! My sister has lived there for a long time, so it feels like a second home to me. I loved Bill Murray’s quote, New Yorkers have always been helpful and kind to me. It’s true there is no place quite like it.
