This week flew by! Besides work and the usual stuff, I had what was for me, an absurd amount of social plans! On Tuesday evening I took over Sisley’s Instagram account for their Fall launch party (the new products are soo good BTW) and then attended a fun dinner at Mr. Purple with Lilly Pulitzer. On Wednesday I stopped by a member preview at The Whitney for the new Stuart Davis exhibit (so so good… highly recommend checking it out), and then hopped downtown for the Marchesa accessories preview, and back uptown for the Young New Yorkers’ Philharmonic Summer Benefit. Whew. Busy, busy. I’m ready to hibernate a little bit this weekend. I am traveling the next couple weekends (the Hamptons next weekend and then back to Charleston the following!) so some downtime in the city will be really nice. Here are my favorite things from the week (there are a lot this week…) enjoy!
I thought this was a really good read… on why “be yourself” sometimes isn’t the greatest advice.
I pre-ordered the new Emily Giffin book this week… it’s going to be such a good beach read!
As I just joined a CSA (starting mid-June!) this article was interesting to me… the vegetables we’re actually wasting.
I’m completely obsessed with Jess’s little white dress. I can’t believe what a good price it is!
My favorite Cynthia Rowley dress (as seen here) comes in a cute sleeveless version… I ordered it this week!
Such an inspiring read featuring a friend of mine: the non-scary secret to switching careers.

Crushing on these simple sandals.
I’m so happy that Julia shared her matcha latte recipe… I ordered the powder this week and can’t wait to make my own.
I think that this might be the perfect white off-the-shoulder dress. (Also ordered this week.)
How epic are Mignonne Gavigan’s new face brooches? I love.
Bahahaha… did you catch Meryl Streep’s Trump impersonation?
Loved Molly’s white lace-up dress… may need to copy her!
Also: this may be the prettiest white lace top ever. I am obsessed!
Don’t make these beauty mistakes!
For the bar cart: the most gorgeous gilded tumblers….
You know how much I love traveling alone… loved this piece!
Why wellness isn’t the answer to overworking our bodies… we need to fix the root of the problem.
This is the perfect party top… and I love that the print is called “Happy Cat!”
I didn’t do a Father’s Day Gift Guide this year… luckily Chassity put together a good one.
How good does this look? The perfect iced coffee recipe.
I can’t say no to a great matchy-matchy set… adore this top + skirt set!
Loving all of these fun seersucker pieces!
I think I need these K. Jacques.

I wholeheartedly agree with the NYtimes article on being yourself. It’s sort of the fake it til ya make it approach. I like it!

The work overload thing is a serious issue and it needs to stop! We are killing ourselves! All the studies continually show, that we are not producing better or more work either. Americans take less vacation than any other country , including Japan( and they never stop working either ). People not calling in sick and then ,asking other people sick, because they are afraid of retribution from their employers. Unfortunately , the articledidn’t sight any solutions. Richard Branson should be the example here. Can he teach the rest of the world? Loved the traveling solo article !
I just love your weekly roundups. 🙂
