And, weekend! I slept in this morning and it felt so nice. My youngest sister was here last night so we had a mini family dinner at my apartment. I served this soup with the most delicious bread from Amy’s Bakery. #yum. Today I’m doing a bit of blog work and then meeting with my friend who is launching a new business endeavor… we’re spending the afternoon putting our heads together and brainstorming ideas. That’s probably my favorite thing in the world – collaborating with friends on their cool projects. We always end up teaching each other so much in the process. It sounds a bit trite but I feel so fortunate to have such smart/ambitious/talented female friends in my life! Whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s great… enjoy these links from the week! (PS – don’t forget to enter yesterday’s giveaway!)
The sweetest missed connection ever (got me a little choked up and I’m not a cryer.)
Pom Poms + oxblood silk: these shoes are not even a tiny bit practical, but ooh – they are amazing!
My friend Natalie (the amazing designer behind Holst and Lee) is having an amazing sale. It’s going on through 10/18. Use code FALL to take 25% off nearly everything on the site!
Some fun pics from an event that Julia hosted at J.McLaughlin. (I’m a new convert to the brand in a major way!)
I love the interesting cut on this LBD. Very seventies-chic.
A floor made out of broken mirrors. So cool!
The perfect draped leather jacket… and it’s on sale!
I really want to try this DIY face mask.
Tibi is having an online sample sale! I have a few events coming up and really love this dress.
A few gorgeous fashion month favorites.
Joie has the best little silk dresses – love the print on this one. So good with tall boots.
Creating a bedtime routine to sleep better.
Mmm… Moscow Mule recipe.
I’m really digging these suede tassel loafers – just wish the blue wasn’t on backorder!
How do you feel about Facebook’s new buttons?
I really love the print on this cute weekender bag!
My friends and I have gotten a little obsessed with comparing our own uber ratings. This video made me crack up.
Wow at the missed connection and the one moment changing everything. I hope the woman had a good life too.
The floor made of mirrors is beautiful.
I like the idea of FB buttons and the range for responses. Sometimes I see a post and don’t know what to say, and it feels… weird to “like” it. I end up leaving a heart as a comment.
Love all these as always, your fashion picks are always on point!
