Happy Friday. We are up in Lake Placid this weekend, at the summer camp Stefan grew up going to. It is set on an organic farm, and truly one of the most relaxing, special places I know. This is our last weekend of travel for a while. I’m soaking up the fresh air and time with friends, but a part of me is really looking forward to being home for a while when we get back to the city. I’ve been offline for a few days now, and it feels amazing to unplug. I hope you are able to do the same this weekend, even just the tiniest bit. It’s something I don’t do enough, but so incredibly important. I’ve been up here since Wednesday, so I’m way behind on blog reading… but here are a few things I loved from earlier in the week.
- This DIY Marni-esque crochet necklace is everything.
- My favorite color.
- Fall shopping philosophy.
- Postcards from New York.
- Fruit + Veggi stamping – the results are so pretty.
- A (brilliant) Lulu Guinness Inspired Lips Clutch!
- A crazy good giveaway.
I can’t think about Lake Placid without thinking about giant mutant alligators eating folks.
Ha! Dying over this comment, you are hilarious.
So envious of you being on “mountain time” now; I adore the Adirondacks. Enjoy, and thanks so much for the mention! Xo
Of course – that post was amazing!!
Enjoy every minute!
Thank you!
enjoy your weekend! that picture is amazing!
Thanks!
Have a great weekend in Lake Placid. Loved Cheetah’s NYC postcards. Just got back from visiting my sister so it was nice to be reminded of the city 🙂
Thanks, Bettina! I loved her postcards too 🙂
Lake Placid sounds like a perfect getaway! Tanner and I have been making a point (well I’ve been making a point) to unplug on one day / night every weekend and it’s been so great for the two of us to spend that quality time together. Thank you for including my postcard post in your links, such a fun surprise!! x
It was! I love your point to unplug more often… it really helps! I loved your postcards post!! xo
Oh hope you had an amazing time at camp! It looks gorgeous! I absolutely unplug a bit over the weekends and it is so nice! But now, heading to check out these links!
Thanks Liz!! It was really great being away from the Internet for a long weekend! x
