Weekend Reading 11.22.25
outfit is linked here!

Hi and happy weekend! I got back from Los Angeles and was thrown right into work chaos. All the Cyber Week sales started so early . . . Cyber Month, I guess? On Thursday, I had the most fun night ever (my friend Curry had the most insane cat-themed birthday party). This weekend, I’ll be catching up on work, getting in some movement, planning out my Thanksgiving dishes (I’m in charge of veggies!), and getting some REST. Whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s fab! xx

I LOVE the article on how to gracefully change the subject. In today’s world, it seems like this is more necessary than ever. While I am not one to shy away from tough subjects, I still believe there is a time and a place for certain topics and also, some days I am just not in the mood to talk about the nutiness going on in the world. I am pretty quick on my feet when coming up with new subject matters and my go-to favorite diversion strategy when someone brings up an unsavory topic is, “Oh! That reminds me! I keep meaning to ask you about ______”, or “I keep meaning to tell you about ______”. And I usually have 1-2 ideas already I mind with certain people I know I’ll be visiting with. If that doesn’t work (meaning: they don’t have great social skills and want to press-on with their favorite subject, I can employ something with a harder boundary statement like, “I’m hearing you and yet my mind just can’t go there today _____.”

Thank you so much for the reminder about your Anthro code! I ordered some things yesterday using my favorite Christmas time philosophy, two for you, one for me! The opposite also works fabulously, haha.
