Weekend Reading 10.7.23

Happy Saturday! We are in Lake Arrowhead for the weekend and it is just… heaven! I apologize as I am a little delayed in getting this post up. The week was a bit chaotic; I had counted on wifi on the plane yesterday and of course it was broken. But we are here now and I am completely enamored. It reminds me a lot of Lake Placid, where I spent a lot of time when I was younger. Just the most calming, beautiful, soothing place. We stepped out of the car and I took a deep breath and felt my shoulders drop at least two inches. I’ll share more about our trip when I return, but it’s the perfect little escape.

PS. Last week’s Weekend Reading.

I’ve only read one book on the Vulture Best of 2023 list, but The Wager by David Grann was one of the best books I’ve read this year. It even has a Charleston connection.
