happy weekend! I actually don’t have much planned which is so nice! I’m going to be in Charleston most of next week (visiting my parents – they moved last week!!!) I want to get most of my blog posts written this weekend to enjoy some quality time with them while I’m down there. Besides work I’m just planning on reading and maybe some museum-ing… my favorite way to spend a Sunday morning is visiting The Met and it’s been wayyyy too long since I’ve gotten up there. And snow! I hope! A weekend snow storm would be so nice – the perfect excuse to hibernate with a book and the cat. Whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s great. xox
Weekend Reading | 1.19.19:
This is really just for the NYC/Brooklyn crowd but I finally got to the water tower bar at the Williamsburg Hotel this week and it was SO cool! Somehow didn’t realize it had opened back in November.
Tuckernuck is having a BIG MLK sale… use code TREAT20 to take an extra 20% off sale merch – ends Monday! My favorite party top (seen in this blog post) is an amazing price, I have and love this floral top (seen here), and I realllly love this graphic dress.
Good lord, this dress is my essence but way too expensive! Maybe it will go on sale… (LMK if you’ve seen anything similar!)
Love this list! 48 Books By women and nonbinary authors of color to read in 2019.
I bought this coat this week and literally got stopped on the street several times about it. New fav.
Because no one (present company included) will shut up about celery juice.
I really want these crystal bobbie pins. You could do one or two for everyday, or a whole row for a big night.
Only Blair could look this good in two coats.
I loved this article about embracing your inner wintrovert. (Such a great term!)
I’ve been thinking about adding some more dark plates to my entertaining repertoire – how do we feel about these?
OMG this apartment is so dramatic and feminine.
This locket is on sale for $15 this weekend – love.
These turkey meatballs look amazing!
Jess shared this and it made me LOL. It’s dumb and silly – materials I’d rather be than wife material.
Love this forest green dress for a big event (and it’s only $87!)
WOW – such a comprehensive beauty post from Victoria!
A cute winter mini dress at a great price.
Healthy swaps for all your favorite cravings.
I always wonder how to wear my slightly cropped jeans this time of year and Helena does it perfectly. Also agree with her re: making plans!
What a pretty top. I need to learn more about this brand.
An A to Z guide to self-care.
This shirt is maternity but I want it anyway.
An interesting article about the Instagram husband.
Loved Merritt’s tips for what’s worth the splurge.
These jeans look EXACTLY like my favorite Re/done pair for a fraction of the price.
This photo shoot that Jenn did is just beyond. WOW.
I ordered this knot front top this week. It’s going to be cute with skirts or high-waist denim.
Great advice + organizational tips from Marie Kondo.
Loved seeing Meghan’s BBG progress!
Hello fuzzy kimono, I’m pretty sure I need you?
Really liked Briony’s thoughts on making 2019 great.

Want to move into Caroline’s new apartment immediately. Briony’s thoughts really resonate with me.
Right!? Such a dream. I’m obsessed.
I’m going to Charleston next weekend (for the first time)! If I bump into you I’m definitely saying hi
Have SO much fun, and yes – please say hi!! xx
Grace,
One of your links made me think of a list I’d love to see from you – what “high-end” pieces are worth it and which aren’t. So many of my Zara pieces have lasted forever while many more expensive pieces have fallen apart – I know the designer brands use the same factories sometimes as the high street brands. Just a thought!
hanks shannon! I actually have that post in the works!!!
Also this looks similar to the dress you posted – https://gypsymermaid.ca/products/the-lola-dress
thank you for the suggestion!
I guess I have forty-eight books I need to add to my ‘to read’ list! Not complaining. I’m also excited to check out the post about ‘healthy swaps’ because goodness knows I’ve been eating “too many” cookies lately (if there is such a thing!).
Hope you’re enjoying your time with your parents!
xo, Victoria
Thanks Victoria!
