Those who know me well know that I’m a creature of comfort. As much as I love getting dolled up every now and again, at the end of the day comfort + convenience are key. So this past fashion week, I focused on keeping my looks simple and straightforward — pieces that would easily mix and match together, but at the end of the day could also be thrown into the wash. Everything in the collage above fits the bill — cute and fashion week appropriate… but also totally 100% machine washable!
At the end of the day, washable can be fashionable. Tide is actually one of the sponsors of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week where several (surprisingly!) washable looks have come down the runway so far… from Charlotte Ronson, Erin Fetherston and Richard Chai. I really love that they’re encouraging more designers to think about the fabrics they use in their collections — offering customers an easier way to care for their garments at home instead of dry cleaning everything!
I personally always use Tide Pods when doing my own laundry. The multi-chamber pod cleans stains, fights stains, and brightens… in one step. I was hesitant at first (I’d been so loyal to Tide’s regular detergent) but they actually do just as good as job… in a much easier and convenient (small apartment-friendly) format.
Created in partnership with Tide.
I’ve had that topshop stripe dress for a while now and it only gets nicer with a few washes!
I adore that Top Shop dress!
