Last week I shared a vintage coat that I bought at A Current Affair (the coolest NY/LA-based vintage show) with my girlfriends… but I also bought a dress! I spied it in a booth across from the one I was shopping and watched as a girl held it up deciding whether or not to buy it. The minute she put it down, I made a beeline over to it and knew I just had to have it. It was the perfect champagne hue with the most beautiful lace at the top… and all over hand-sewn crystals.
I tried it on (wearing all black underwear — oops) and the booth owner and I had a good laugh about how ridiculous I looked. So there I was, dancing and twirling around in the aisle of the show wearing a see-through dress and black underwear. I didn’t really care. It fit me perfectly and I knew it would look great with the right underwear and a nude slip (might I suggest this one, it’s amazing!) It’s very oversized but the top of it is fitted, and it’s just perfect for twirling. Now I just need an occasion to wear it!
(sorry a few of these images are out of focus; but I love the way it shows how the dress moves!)
