Photoshop Elements 12 launched last month and I’ve been having a lot of fun playing around with its new features. As part of my collaboration with Adobe, we were given an exclusive sneak peek + tutorial of its new features, and guys… there is some really fun stuff! My favorite feature is probably the Effects in Quick Mode. With regular Photoshop, I’ve always enjoyed adding actions to my photos… but now with this new feature in Elements, you can add Instagram-esque (better than Instagram) filters to your photos in no time at all.
I played around with the filters above. The top left is the original photo. Top right is using the “Toy Camera” filter… In the bottom left corner, I used the “Vintage” filter, and in the bottom right, I used the “Scary Movie” filter.
And it’s really easy to do… just takes two steps! But before I show you, make sure you enter my giveaway below… you could win one of THREE copies of Photoshop Elements 12 – just use the widget at the bottom of the post.
First, just open up your photo in Photoshop Elements 12. Make sure that you are in “Quick” Mode.
Then, just click the “Effects” Button in the bottom right of your screen. From there you will be able to add whatever filter your heart desires. You can also experiment with adding textures over the effects for something really different + one of a kind. Save your photo and you are all done!
And now the fun part… the giveaway! Three of you will win… good luck!
