Back in Brooklyn and very excited for a cozy winte Back in Brooklyn and very excited for a cozy winter and allllll of the movie nights. I've teamed up with @hbomax this winter to tell you everything I'm watching. (Swipe to see how Tyrion really feels about this).
-
First up is The Flight Attendant. I loved this show so much. It's the perfect watch it in a day or two murder mystery. Kept me guessing and I loved the twist at the end!
-
As for this month, I really want to watch more movies! My concentration was pretty shot in 2020 but I feel ready for more movie nights.
-
Two movies I've watched and plan to rewatch: Ready Player One (this is so fun and
futuristic, and I loved all the 80's pop culture references!) and Crazy Rich Asians (the
fashion! the homes! It's like a vacation in movie form and I have such a big crush on Henry
Golding).
-
Two movies I plan to watch! Wonder Woman 1984 (Huge huge Gal Gadot fan + love this franchise and that it takes place in the 80s!!) and Birds of Prey (big Margot Robbie fan + love a good girl power action flick!)
-
What are you watching this winter??? #sponsoredbyhbomax
2021 ✨ Sweatsuits are the new power suits. Slipp 2021 ✨ Sweatsuits are the new power suits. Slippers are the new stilettos. A wardrobe of masks is an absolute must... and don't forget that statement sock. I’m half kidding but you’re looking at my go-to look since getting back. 🤩

Today on TheStripe.com I am sharing a full review Today on TheStripe.com I am sharing a full review of @briogeo's amazing Don't Despair, Repair line. These products are incredible and have really helped my hair to look and feel so much better. Less frizz, and SO much softer. While I desperately need a cut, my hair hasn't looked this good in quite some time. I was already a big fan of the shampoo and hair mask but the conditioner is brand new and I absolutely LOVE it. If you have dry hair, these products are clinically proven to strengthen + repair hair! AND through 1/18 take 20% off sitewide at briogeo.com with code GRACE ! Cheers to better hair days!

I shared some pretty big news on the blog today an I shared some pretty big news on the blog today and it's finally not scary to say it out loud. I'm moving to Charleston in April! I am all at once extremely excited but also deeply sad to leave New York - my home for over 15 years! So many feelings, but ultimately feeling SO good about this decision. I am especially excited for sunshine, having more space (and a guest room), and being close to my parents and the ocean.
-
I'll share more details (maybe next week!) as I'm ready, but I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate your support and encouragement. This community is the best. Thank you for sharing in my JOY over making this difficult decision. ❤️❣️❤️

HI. 👋🏻 This weekend's Q&A made me think that HI. 👋🏻 This weekend's Q&A made me think that maybe we all (me included!) need a little pep talk! There was a lot of talk about worrying about ending up alone, losing a year of our lives this year, never finding "the one," ETC. Things got DARK. And dark is okay. We need to embrace the dark so that we can appreciate the good stuff. But still... a little PEP TALK feels like a good idea. ❤️❣️✨
-
You are exactly where you need to be right now. Repeat it after me. And keep on saying it til you believe it.
-
You are not going to die alone. After the past year I know it feels like it but every single person is in the exact same boat. Eventually we will all be vaccinated and life will go back to normal (or at least a new normal). But might I just add: there are farrrrrrr worse things than "ending up alone." With great friends and family you'll never be alone. So focus on making your life great (as great as it can be in this weird time), and improving those relationships you already have. I promise you will be okay. Things will get better over this year - take this time to get clear on what it is you actually want, work on that creative side project you've been putting off, and make a plan for what you want your life to look like when all of this is over. (And just think about how much you will appreciate all those little "normal" things we used to take for granted.)
-
We may not be in charge of a whole slew of external factors (putting it lightly, lolz) but we are in control of our thoughts, who we surround ourselves with, and what we do with our free time. This year wasn't great. I am over it. But in the meantime I'm choosing happiness. Cutting out all the negativity (including my own very negative thoughts!!!) and committing myself to having the best year I can possibly have. And I want you to do the same.
-
I hope this helps. 🙃 We’ve got this.

What are you doing this weekend to take care of yo What are you doing this weekend to take care of yourself? ✨
-
This week left me emotionally wrecked. Scared, angry, heartbroken, all the feels. Planning on hunkering down with books and blankets and maybe a fave mask or two (and realllllly questioning my decision to do a dry January!).
-
If you need a book rec there is so much book stuff on my blog (thestripe.com). This week I posted December’s reading list as well as everything I read in 2020, ranked! But whatever you do this weekend I hope you can take care of yourself just a little. ❤️💔❣️

What was the best book you read this year?? I star What was the best book you read this year?? I started working on my “every book I read in 2020” post today (coming sooner the blog!) and am having a hard time narrowing it down.
-
A few personal favs: The Last Flight (Julie Clark), A Promised Land (Obama - listen to it!!!), One to Watch (@__ksl). Also: The Talented Miss Farwell! And for some older books I loveddddd Object of Beauty by Steve Martin, and Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. It’s so hard to pick a favorite!!!! ❤️❣️
