Fall Boot Edit.

My favorite thing to shop for in the Fall, hands down is boots. Last year, my big investment was Stuart Weitzman’s Highland Boots. The skintight suede, high heel, and over-the-knee cut are definitely a much (sexier) departure from my usual style but I loved pairing them with skirts + leggings all winter long. This year, my big boot splurge is going to be his 5050 boots in Black Napa (I have a neutral pair that I bought on sale, but am just dying for the black.) If I hadn’t already bought the Highland Boots, I totally would buy these… a comfier alternative! I tend to invest when I buy my boots as I take good care of them so that they last a long time. I protect them using Scotchgard, carefully wipe them off at least once a week, and store them in their original boxes when not in use. A good cobbler can work wonders… and I still have pairs of boots that I bought years and years ago (hello, Rag & Bone Harrow booties… talking to you!) Buy the best boots you can, take good care of them, and they’ll only get better with age.

Today I rounded up a few of my personal favorite boots… most are investment pieces, but I’ve included a few less expensive options (and if you’re looking for a less expensive version of the 5050, these are amazing… and under $100!) On another note, these Steve Madden tiger booties are so not my usual style, but I can’t get ’em out of my head!
