File this under really cool stuff… Tide Pods® just announced a cool new partnership with the CFDA & Tracy Reese. For the first time ever, Tracy Reese will be introducing machine-washable fashion, as a part of her Fall 2014 collection. During her Fall ’14 runway show this February, two washable looks will walk the runway… and then be sold in stores and online next Fall. I don’t know about you but I personally love this as my dry cleaning bills could use a little relief. And I still can’t believe the metallic cargo pants + cable knit sweaters she designed will actually be washable.
On a side note – I only just learned a bit more about Tide Pods® (despite the fact that I used them – long before this post)… but I used ’em because of the convenience – not the technology. Did you know that P&G designed them after eight years of consumer research? I was impressed by that. When I first moved to New York, I spent nearly four years working for P&G in brand management (on the prestige fragrance side.) I have remained loyal to their products – simply because they really are the best… they put SO much research and thought behind each and every launch.
But anyway. Tracy Reese. The fun part. We can help her pick which looks will appear in the Fall 2014 collection. Tracy created two potential design sketches for each look (as seen here and on Tide’s Pinterest page.) You can vote for your favorite looks by repinning a sketch to your own boards, using #WashableFashion. The two versions of the looks with the most repins will walk the runway this February! Voting will run through December 14th right here, so get to it and get voting!
Disclosure: This post is a part of my collaboration with P&G. All opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands I love that help to make this site possible.
