Three to Try: Bold Lipsticks!

It’s no surprise that I am loving bright, bold lips right now.  If you are afraid to try a bold lipstick, I swear… you just haven’t found “the one” yet.   Start by applying with your fingertip and/or blotting with a tissue for a more subtle look… within a few weeks you’ll be applying it straight from the tube.  These are three of my favorites right now…  The hot pink is a great “starter shade” as it is bold but still pretty sheer… the deep berry is my current go-to, and the orange is just plain fun (and also super glossy.)  As a bonus, all three of these guys are actually pretty hydrating!

    I used to shy away from bright lipstick and stuck with brown tones, but it’s such a fun way to add a little pep. Might just have to give orange a try!

    I adore bold lip colours. I have recently purchased hot pink, dark plumb, bright red and red/orange. Love them all and they really help step up an otherwise simple outfit.

    I got a great berry from NARS that is just sheer enough when layered with a balm that it looks pretty and sophisticated, not scary and goth. I was nervous of going overboard!

    I recently got brave with bold lip color, too. For a fuschia lip I start with Sephora Pinup Pink lip liner, then top with tarte Foxy lipstick. It’s super bright so I usually keep the rest of the makeup pretty simple. For a red lip I like Sephora Waterproof Retractable lip liner in Sangria, topped with Sephora lipstick in Rouge. The grey days of winter are the best time to get bold with makeup. 🙂
