dress // bag // heels

How was your long weekend? I have a short but packed week but I am so excited because my sisters (+ their husbands and kids!) and I rented a cabin on the Finger Lakes for a long weekend and leave on Friday morning. Planning to take a proper vacation/four day weekend so have quite a bit to do before I leave. I’m really excited for “Gross on Paper” (we are recording with our new friend Dan on Thursday and I can’t wait) and have two big shoots for upcoming brand campaigns – it is going to be a busy few days before we leave!

I hope you had a great weekend – it’s hard to believe that the unofficial end of summer has arrived. What a weird six months it’s been… it’s gone by so slowly but also so fast? My weekend was so nice. It actually went by pretty slowly which was a treat. I spent time with friends and family but also had a lot of nice quiet time to myself to read and nap and putter around the apartment.

OH also: some fun movies to recommend… on Amazon Prime: The High Life (this is the Slim Aarons documentary – he’s one of my fav photographers so it was really interesting to learn more about his life and the stories behind some of my favorite photos!) and Troop Zero (incredible cast and reminded me of Little Miss Sunshine…. the ending made me cry while also laughing hysterically). And on Netflix – Love, Guaranteed. A little cheesy but cute and Heather Graham has a cameo.

Face Shirt (and mask!)

Oh wow, you guys really liked the super creepy t-shirt and mask combination that I got with Becca’s face to wear on her birthday. To find it, I just googled “face shirt” and found Subliworks. They have some amazing stuff, sent me a proof for approval almost immediately, and shipped really quickly, too! Highly recommend next time you want to be a super creepy friend.

Vuori Long Joggers

I love my classic Vuori joggers (I have two pairs; read my in-depth review with sizing info here) but they’re definitely a bit short on me. So I was ecstatic when they launched a longer pair. They’re available in three colors: black, charcoal grey, and heather grey. Highly recommend. Read my Vuori review but I love their joggers bc they’re so lightweight and soft.

Lavender Always Pan

I love my Our Place Always Pan SO much. It’s truly the best pan ever: so pretty but also practical and the non-stick finish is amazing… even the messiest meals just wipe clean. I use mine for everything: scrambled eggs, stir fries, heating up my Daily Harvest bowls… literally everything! And I love the thoughtful design – the spatula rest, the steamer basket… I can’t get over it. I was excited but also sad (because I certainly don’t need two of them!) to see that it now comes in the prettiest lavender color!!!

Headspace Focus Mode (+ John Legend!)

Headspace recently launched their “focus mode” and it’s very cool. Besides having a whole section of guided meditations to help you improve your focus, there is also a whole playlist section with music to help you focus during your work day (they brought John Legend on as their first-ever Chief Music Officer!). I have been playing around with all of the features and really love it. You can get 25% off a one year subscription to Headspace with this link.

I have a paid instagram partnership with Headspace. This is not a part of that but wanted to disclose it.

Cute Tees to Benefit Hunger

Cute Tees to Benefit Hunger

My friend Ashley (and her friend Jessa!) designed some very cute (and very happy!) t-shirts and sweatshirts to benefit Feed America. The shirts are super soft, range from $25-$36 and come in a size XS-3XL. And she’s doing it as a fundraiser on Bonfire so all the money raised will go directly to Feed!

If you have some time this weekend, definitely try Dano’s Heuriger and Stonecat Cafe, along with the wineries on Keuka lake since they are less crowded/touristy among the Finger Lakes 🙂

Right? I loved it! I’ve been an admirer for so long and bought one of his prints from Jonathan Adler – fun knowing more about his life and some of the people he photographed.

Biased, but I think the Finger Lakes is one of the most beautiful parts of the country! Grew up on Seneca and spent every weekend this summer on Owasco. ❤️ Great time of year to kayak and paddle and buy wine and eat apples. Ithaca Farmers Market is a must.
