This Week’s Good Things, 5.11.21.

I feel like my posts have been out of order this month… usually I post this week’s good things on Mondays but I had wanted to get you my reading list yesterday as I had wanted to wait to publish it til I finished the fourth book. So today we are back with a little list of good things.

How was your weekend? I had a friend in town visiting from Thursday night til today which was so really fun. We ate and drank our way through some of my favorite spots here and went to the beach on Sunday. I will tell you I now feel like I was on vacation and need to really put my nose to the grindstone this week and also get back into an exercise routine. It has been a minute.

My apartment is still a bit of a disaster but my new chair came yesterday and she’s a beauty. I feel like every day I get a little closer to feeling settled… this week’s big project will be getting my pretty shelves hung (and maybe even styled if I am feeling ambitious, ha). I have said this before but my goal these days has been to embrace the chaos, take things one step at a time, and remember that it will all eventually get done!

Style Charade x Sail to Sable

The biggest piece of news I have to share is that my friend Jenn just launched (yet another!) beautiful capsule collection with Sail to Sable. She kindly gifted me a piece from the collection and it obviously had to be this beautiful blue and white eyelet dress. I always love the cut of the Charlotte dress (I also have a green one and a sequin one too) as it’s easy and breezy but shows off your legs. Mare of Eastown

My latest TV obsession is Mare of Eastown, recommended to me by my aunt. If you are into mysteries/thrillers you will enjoy this. Right now I am getting Sharp Objects sort of vibes from it? Kate Winslet plays a cop in a small Pennsylvania town. A local girl is brutally murdered and they bring in someone else to help her. I am not sure what is going to happen (I’m only three episodes in!) but I am enjoying it. You can watch the trailer here. 

margaux x schumacher

Another collab that I am very excited about is Margaux x Schumacher. The (ultra elegant) collection launches today at noon so if you read this earlier in the day it might not be live yet. I am such a massive fan of both brands (Margaux makes some of my most favorite shoes and Schumacher’s wallpapers and textiles are just divine). I’m not even really a flats person but am thinking those mules with the giant bow need to be mine.

A heavenly shave oil…

A fun little luxury! This shave oil from Olio e Osso is heavenly and it leaves your legs feeling like pure silk. Before shaving (after washing / exfoliating/ etc) I will just apply a couple pumps to my leg and it makes such a huge difference. I have very dry skin and it leaves my skin so, so smooth and soft. I am hooked. Bonus points – you barely need to use any product so it lasts a long time, and the packaging is so pretty. Would make a great gift!
