This Weeks Good Things 3.29.21

Hello friends! I hope you had a great weekend. There are now just two days until I move. It’s getting REAL!!!! My movers come on Wednesday. This was my last weekend in New York and it was so nice. I had a friend staying with me and on Friday night I had a nice dinner with my family (sister and brother in law, cousin and her boyfriend) and on Saturday night I went to dinner with a few of my friends and then we tried (impossibly, lolz) to make a dent in all the alcohol on my bar cart.

This week is going to be a busy one. I have a fun week of blog content planned and scheduled. Wednesday will be spent packing and moving and then on Thursday I fly to Charleston! I’ll be staying at a friend’s place for a few days while I wait for my stuff. It feels kind of like I’m going on vacation. I’m all confused and probably will be until I’m settled in the new space. I hope you have a great week ahead. Also, if you didn’t already listen to this episode of Brené Brown’s podcast with Glennon Doyle, you must – I can’t recommend it enough. Such a good one.

Delicious Climate Friendly Crackers

Delicious Climate Friendly Crackers

You probably know this if you follow her, but my friend Mollie has the best taste in snacks. I was over her house last week and she had the tomato basil Moonshot Crackers out (with loads of cheese) and I needed to know what they were. They are delicious and reminded me a bit of a healthy Cheez-it? YUM. Even better… they are female BIPOC founded and dedicated to helping to end climate change.

OPI Bubble Bath

Every time I get my nails done I forget to ask what color it is. I am not really a big nail polish person and got pretty used to naked nails during the pandemic but a fresh manicure makes me happy. I finally remembered to ask for the shade name a few weeks ago since I am moving and need to know the color for my next salon and and it’s OPI Bubble Bath. It’s far and awaay my favorite pale pink and just so pretty. I do two coats of the gel.

Colleen Herman

Recently, my friend Alicia posted the most gorgeous painting to her Instagram (this one!). I tapped over to learn more about the artist and discovered New York City based painter Colleen Herman. Her work is absolutely exquisite (explosions of color that resemble flowers and sometimes even flames) and I am now obsessed with her Instagram. LOVE. (Also: while researching her work I came across this feature on Doré. The photos are just unreal.)

Good luck with the move! Excited to see the new location, decorating process, and all of the things 🙂 Moves are stressful but I always feel energized by the purging and ability to start fresh. It’s a time to potentially reinvent my house décor, style, even friend circle or at least refresh it a bit!
