How was your weekend? Mine was… blissfuly uneventful. I really didn’t do much besides go running, work, and clean… sometimes you just need a weekend like that! With all of the travel I have coming up (LA at the end of the month and Europe in mid-February), I am set on getting as ahead on work as possible so that I can really enjoy my time away.
I did see two movies… I went and saw Hidden Figures on Saturday afternoon with a girlfriend, and last night I spontaneously went and saw La La Land in IMAX on my own. Both were so great, for (obviously) very different reasons. Hidden Figures was very empowering (and I learned a lot as it is a true story), and La La Land just made me happy (and want to dance). Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone are so good together! One of my goals this year is to see more movies. Going to a movie is one of my favorite things to do, even if I just go by myself… and I feel like there are so many great ones in theaters right now! Manchester by the Sea is next on my list though I know I will bawl my eyes out.
My dress went on sale and is in stock in different sizes at different retailers so I linked to it in four places. But this one from Topshop (listed in the “look for less”) is almost identical and is definitely just as cute. I am such a sucker for a star print, especially when it is this small. The tiny stars look like polka dots (another fav of mine)… but stars are so much better than dots!
Outfit Details: Vince Coat (also really love this, this, this, and this!) // Theory Dress (also here, here, and here) // Stuart Weitzman Boots // Chanel Purse // Karen Walker Sunglasses // Hotlips Ring (c/o)
Look for Less: Coat (love this one too if you are a size 4!) // Dress // Boots
I know every blogger has a pair of these Stuart Weitzman boots and sometimes I hate myself for having all of the “blogger things,” but I really do just love these so much. I bought these 3 years ago and they’ve held up incredibly well. The suede is still in perfect shape and I replaced the cap on the end of the heel once. Over the past few years I’ve also added the flat pair to my closet in black and grey, and the mid-height pair in tan. When I really like something, I tend to collect it.

Love this dress on you! Also, I really want to see La La Land. It seems everyone is loving it.
Thank you so much Kristin! I hope you go see it – it’s really worth seeing on the big screen!!!
I love this! Stars! Such a pretty dress.
i’ve got all my favorite basics on my blog today- and the BEST pink sweater!
Thank you so much Brittany!
I’m obsessed with these boots, I’m dying for the flat gray pair! I also saw Hidden Figures this weekend and LOVED it. So inspiring!
It was so good!!! Truly so inspiring – it’s incredible how much adversity they faced. Her running to the bathroom every day… wow.
I’m obsessed with all things star print so I adore the dress! It looks amazing on you.
Thank you so much Shira – I love stars too!!
Classy outfit, very British chic if I may say so. 😀
Love your dress! 🙂
Thanks, Natali! Hope you are having a great week!
That dress is so pretty! And I love how you paired it with that coat.
Thanks Marta! Hope your week is off to a great start.
Cute dress, Grace!
Thank you Carrie!
I love the dress.
Thank you Sophie!
I love this version, but the TopShop version is definitely up my alley and a little more in my budget! Thank you for offering the different price point!
Oh good I’m so glad to hear that!!! Both are so cute!
Do you mind sharing what size dress you bought? I bought the Theory Marah dress in red in size 0. I am not a 0. I normally wear a size 4 in other brands. Thank you.
Hi Kim! I am wearing a size 8! It is a little bit big (I’m usually a 6) but I didn’t want it to pull across my hips.
