The Warmest Winter Coat.

Thank you to Bloomingdale’s and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.

Winter in New York (or New England, or Chicago, or lots of places!) means business. It gets cold. Really cold. For this reason, a great winter coat is imperative. I tend to live in a puffer coat December through February (and sometimes March!) While it isn’t all that hard to find a warm puffer coat, it can be hard to find a stylish one.

The Warmest Winter Coat

So many of the parkas I’ve tried on add a lot of bulk and tend to make me look like a walking marshmallow. A warm marshmallow, but still.. a marshmallow. That fact alone is what drew me to Woolrich’s Bow Bridge Down Coat. It’s sleeker than any other parka I’ve tried, but still so, so warm! The nylon/cotton Ramar cloth shell is coated with Teflon™ to repel water, wind and stains and it definitely gets bonus points for the fleece lined pockets. I would say to size up if you’re between sizes. I’m typically a small or medium in coats and took a medium in this one and it’s perfect!

Bloomingdale’s stocks a ton of gorgeous Woolrich parkas as well as a large assortment of cold weather outerwear pieces. This one is my favorite but I also really loved the look of this grey one too. Lucky for us it’s still a little too warm to pull this out (most days at least) but I always get my winter coat early on in Fall as the best ones always sell out!

Love that quilted down lining. So warm, without weighing you down. I joke that for New Yorkers, our winter coats are our cars. We’re constantly walking around and taking public transit. It’s important that they be dependable – and stylish to get us where we need to be!

I definitely need to get my hands on a warm winter coat! I agree that puffer coats are warm but aren’t the nicest looking, so they’re out of the question. I always freeze myself silly in winter because I don’t have a reliable go-to coat!

I love my Woolrich coat! It is like walking around in a duvet, I have to wait until the highs are in the 40s or it’s too hot, but last winter it was amazing to have. I also like the minimal branding/logos on the outside.

That is exactly it!!! So warm, so chic, and yes – no logos is definitely a plus!

Love this coat but so sad to see you include a coat that has fur. The fur industry is just repugnant – imagine a social animal like a fox in a cage and then anally electrocuted. Surely not necessary just for its fur for a coat. Please consider a fur-free coat next time!
