When Carly asked if she could add in a Gen-Z approved edit, I thought, absolutely, how fun! I love seeing what she’s eyeing She’s typically a step ahead of me so it generally means that in a few months, I’ll want it too. (Though I already have the Alex Mill tote, so I’m counting that as a win!) You can read the first two here and here if you want more.
The Up Next Edit, Vol. 3
While I know my winter wardrobe can survive on the holy trinity of a great pair of jeans, a perfectly layered sweater-and-tee combo, and one standout jacket, my eyes have never been very good at staying focused. They wander. Constantly. Usually straight toward the slightly odd, the unexpected, the pieces that feel like they could quietly but completely reroute my closet.
This roundup leans into investment territory, the kind of pieces that earn their keep year after year and somehow feel better with time. I’ve historically lived and died by black and white, something has shifted. I keep gravitating toward rich browns, mustardy yellows, icy silvers, and deep navy. A color story I would’ve side-eyed not that long ago, but here we are. Consider me intrigued, mildly confused, and open to letting the tides turn.
A few things in particular….
- Pêche has been one of my best-kept secrets since 2019. I stumbled into their Brooklyn shop while I was living in the city and have been loyal ever since. These ankle boots are the kind of Khaite-adjacent find that feel almost too good to gatekeep, and they’re absolutely worth the investment.
- My year-end gift to myself came in the form of this one-of-a-kind calf-hair blazer by Rachel Comey. Not to sound like a broken record, but RC was my top indexing brand of the year and for very good reason. Had this blazer slipped through my fingers, I would’ve set my sights on the high-collared trench that just landed in their new arrivals.
- I’ve been on the hunt for a new work tote and, unfortunately, I’ve become one of those people who can’t be satisfied with just one really good bag. My algorithm keeps sliding this monogrammed Alex Mill tote into my feed, and at this point I’m choosing to see it less as temptation and more as a message from the powers that be.
- I’m a go-big-or-go-home person when it comes to accessories. I’ve been plotting a look that starts with this calf-hair tote, adds these mesh ballet sneakers, and finishes with this hand-stitched belt. Consider this my official warning that something slightly unhinged and very fun is coming together.

That Flore Flore cardigan reminds me of my agnes b. snap cardigan, an all-time wardrobe great.
It seems to be! Everything about this cardigan is calling to me 🙂

Good Morning ,
Please tell us more about Peche. I see some of their shoes are not leather and they do not give refunds. Euro sizing but made in China with no size chart , I am wary of ordering . Thank you
I’ve purchased many pairs of shoes, as well as tops from this brand! They run extremely true to size and while I can’t speak to the materials, I can share that their shoes are surprisingly durable and have outlasted other “investment” pairs.
