If you read this site regularly, you know how much I love a cozy sweatshirt. I wear them with everything… mini skirts, jeans, leather leggings, lace skirts in the summer… really, I mean everything! But for some reason, a good basic one can be really hard to find – especially at an affordable price. Why that is, I just don’t know… but it’s true. Everything I find is always covered in sequins or embellishment… and as much as I love a good sequin trim or rhinestone embellishment, this is a case where I just want something simple and basic. And why the basic ones are so expensive, I don’t quite understand, either. For example – this is lovely, but it is $325! Why? I’ve had a lot of luck at J.Crew and Old Navy (this was a favorite but its always sold out.)
Alas, I just came across Everlane’s assortment of sweatshirts and the cuts are pretty perfect. There are three styles, all very affordable. All are available in black, navy, and light gray. All are made of neoprene inspired French terry. I love how easy + effortless Everlane makes it to shop. I haven’t bought one of their sweatshirts yet, but I have a few Everlane tees and I was really impressed by the quality.
- The boat neck ($35) with a low crew neck and straight, cropped silhouette.
- The boyfriend ($40) with a higher neck and a slouchy, long fit (my favorite)
- The short sleeve ($30) is a fun silhouette – I love this for spring.
Which one is your favorite? And where do you buy your sweatshirts?
Thank you so much for this link…..this year, I am only buying basics in three chosen colours…but so far…not much luck….these are all perfect for me! 😉 x

I LIVE in sweatshirts too (I’m wearing a sequin one today haha). I’ve had fairly good luck with Forever 21 sweatshirts (although your right, the majority of them are embellished.) But I had no idea that Everlane carried them. Thanks for sharing!
I haven’t tried Everlane before but when I saw these sweatshirts, I took the plunge. I went for the short-sleeve in navy and I can’t wait to get it.
How did you find the sizing on your Everlane tees? That’s what I wanted to get originally but was really unsure if it would fit well in the bust area.
I thought the sizing was good with the tees. Pretty true to size. I got a size Medium and it was long enough and not too tight in the bust (I’m about 5’8 and wear a 34c)
everlane has the cutest stuff! xo jillian – cornflake dreams

Love cozy sweatshirts! Oddly enough, my go-to sweatshirts are from Victoria’s Secret’s “super-model” collection. They don’t have giant brand marks on them which is nice and they are super comfortable and affordable. I have this one in gray: http://bit.ly/1iPkYds
Thanks for sharing about Everlane, I have yet to buy something from them and I’m glad to hear that the sweatshirts are of good quality.
xx.

I’m a total sweats girl. I was so excited when they started making them in cleaner and nicer cuts. These links are great! Thanks~
I love grey sweatshirts. My favorite one is very basic, from Topshop, but it’s so easy to wear with ripped jeans or with a leather skirt and a statement necklace 🙂
I’ve had a lot of luck at Old Navy this year….and they’re so cheap that I don’t feel guilty getting one in every color!
Oh man I need to get on this. I had bought some tees from Everlane a while back and then completely forgot about them. Sweatshirt central here I come!
I love the luxe look of these at such an affordable price point. I’ve never heard of Everlane before, but I certainly will be stocking up! Thanks so much for sharing, Grace!

I saw these this morning and was very intrigued…but I’m worried that as a tall girl, they won’t be long enough..they look a bit boxy to me. I know you’re on the tall side too, so if you get one I’d love to know what the fit is like!
Thank you so much for sharing about Everlane! I haven’t heard of them before but love the concept!
My favorite sweatshirt is a cozy lightweight thing from James Perse — found for $40 at TJ Maxx!!!
