I love, love, love a good Moscow Mule. It’s light and refreshing, and the perfect alternative this time of year to all of the hot beverages we’ve been indulging in. This recipe has taken me a bit of time to perfect, and I have to say two things. First of all, it’s all about finding the right ginger beer (I love Reed’s!) and secondly, homemade ginger simple syrup is the real secret sauce. We discussed making it (it’s easy, I promise!) when we made ginger margaritas… but I swear… give it a try – it will 100% make your Moscow Mule so much more delicious!
Ingredients (serves one!)
- 2 oz. Vodka (I used Absolut)
- Ginger Beer (I used Reed’s)
- Homemade Ginger Syrup (recipe here, or buy it here)
- One Lime
- Copper Mug
Start by adding two teaspoons of ginger syrup to the bottom of a copper mug.
I cut my lime up into wedges and squeezed in three small chunks.
Pour in 1.5-2 oz. vodka.
Fill to the top with ginger beer…
Garnish with limes!
(Similar napkins can be found here)
In partnership with Absolut. Enjoy responsibly!

I have yet to try a moscow mule (I know, I know), but this looks so yummy. I almost want to make my own for my first try with this recipe. (Oh, and how pretty is that Absolut bottle???)

We love Moscow Mules! If you like spicy, you should try Liber & Co.’s Fiery Ginger Syrup. It’s made in Texas and so good.
These mugs are the best!
Moscow Mule drinkware – makes it that much better.
I loveeee when my mule is extra tart, the sweet ones are never as good.
