The Perfect Little White Dress.

dress // sunglasses // heels // bag

It’s funny, it wasn’t until I put this dress on that I realized how much my style has changed since moving to Brooklyn. When I lived in the city I was almost always in dresses… now, I’m almost always in jeans! I still (and will always) love a good dress though… and this one fits perfectly. It also makes me want to a) put on some self-tanner (ha!) and b) plan a trip to Charleston, as I live in pretty dresses like this when I visit. I’m so impressed by Julia’s beautiful new collection of dresses… and also that she’s releasing so many new styles (shot in gorgeous locations all over the world) every month – I have a feeling this is going to be very bad for my wallet!

I know I will be asked, so would say that the dresses run true to size… but if you’re in between sizes, go down. I took my usual size (a 6) in this one. The other dress I ordered is SO cute but was a little bit big… I’m going to have it taken in a little and also shortened as I prefer an above-the-knee silhouette.

I’ve realized more recently that I am definitely someone who changes her style (a little bit) based upon where I am. If I’m in the city it’s all big sunglasses, trench coat, and a dress or skinny jeans… in Williamsburg I’m mostly in jeans and tees, and in Charleston it’s always a dress. Curious to know if you guys do this too.. honestly I sometimes don’t even realize I’m doing it!!!

What are you up to this weekend?

I’m laying low and getting ready for my big TRIP! On Wednesday morning I leave for Cuba for five nights/six days… I’m going on a yoga retreat and cannot wait! Wifi is going to be spotty/non-existent so I’m planning on more or less going off of the grid. It will be business as usual over here, so I’m just making sure I have new posts scheduled for you every day. There is a LOT to do before I leave but I cannot wait – Cuba, and a yoga retreat have both been very high on my list for a while now so I’m really excited.

This is one of my favorite dresses from the GMG collection! They’re all so gorgeous, I just wish I had a reason for buying a fancier dress. I absolutely cannot wait to see what the fall/winter collections look like!

I’m excited to hear what the yoga retreat is like! I’m a (newer) yoga instructor and I haven’t built up the courage to go on a retreat yet. Seems like timing was perfect for this one, especially being in Cuba!

You look really great! For me, the bucket bag thing is something I don’t think I’ll ever come around on though, it’s so funny looking! But I seriously think you could rock anything.
