Today’s post is a good one. It’s a little expensive and to be quite honest I hate the packaging, but it is EFFECTIVE AS HELL, (pardon my language but I could actually scream about how good it is and what a noticeable difference it makes). I had never tried anything from Neocutis but knew they were really well respected in the dermatology field. They sent me a bunch of products for consideration (this isn’t sponsored but I am using affiliate links so if you make a purchase I’ll earn a small commission) but there was one true standout.
The BEST Tightening Eye Cream
To back up, I get really bad bags under my eyes and have also started to see more fine lines in that area. It’s gotten worse over the past year, and it’s especially bad when I wake up in the morning. It’s a combo of bags/hollowness and I hate it and have thought about getting filler but am a little scared. This eye cream makes a noticeable difference, pretty much immediately. It tightens up the skin under my eyes while also brightening the undereye area. It is my dream product, pretty much.
Like I said, I tried quite a few things from the brand. They sent me this serum and I thought it was nice but not as good as Bader. They also sent some other eye creams (it gets confusing, they have so many – I really like the plain old tightening one, too!!!) but THIS ONE is the holy grail as it combines their illuminating and tightening technologies. I cannot recommend it enough. Again, they have so many products that all look a lot of like, make sure you get the one that says “illuminating & tightening eye cream.”
It pairs well with concealers too – no pilling or weird flaking and it keeps your under-eye area hydrated all day long. I’m kind of intrigued by the extra hydrating version… I have super dry skin and the regular one works really well.
Have you tried anything from this brand? Any other standouts? I am really blown away by this one!
PS – if you have an early morning meeting or just look extra tired, highly recommend pairing this with ice rolling to look more awake in just a few minutes.

After reading your review, I think I have to try this! ❤️✨

It’s excellent!
You had me at tightening!
I’ve never tried anything like this. It’s so effective.
Curious how this compares to the Olay eye cream you shared? I bought it yesterday, but this seems a bit more powerful (judging by price)? Thank you for testing things out so we don’t have to!
This is more powerful! I love the Olay one and think it is EXCELLENT, especially for the price. But this is the big guns, especially if you have bags/looser/crepier skin under your eyes.
I just bought this!! I’m so excited to get it and try it out. I always trust your recommendations so I’m thrilled this has your seal of approval. 🙂 On the topic of filler for under eyes- I bit the bullet and had it done back in February. Trust me when I tell you there is nothing to be scared about it – it was virtually painless! It all comes down to the right doctor (the plastic surgeon I went to had the touch of an angel. Lol. Literally incredibly gentle) and the method. Easy peasy and highly recommend if you want to help volume loss. He used Belotero on me and 7 months later it is still going strong.
Thanks again Grace for the honest review!
Thank you for sharing! I think when I feel a little more comfortable I may take the plunge!
Thanks for the review! I’ve been looking for something for fine lines/wrinkles around my eyes. Can’t decide if I should bite the bullet and try this one or try the olay first!
Think it just depends on your age + skincare concerns! My undereye area is def my problem area. I really like both Olay eye creams (retinol at night and ultimate eyes for day) as well.
Shari, do you mind sharing your derm??
Grace, would you apply this before or after vitamin C / moisturizer?
Before! According to Caroline Hirons eye cream always goes on before your serums and moisturizers 🙂
Thank you for this review. I like to keep my skin routine tight with the things I love and that work. Similar to your Bader love. It is hard for me to try one off things. Will you be adding this to your tried and trues a la Bader? Or good for when needed? Thanks for all you share.
Ya this is a tried and true. I’ve been using it for a little over a month and it’s up there with Bader. Of course it depends on your skin. I would say this is really for those of us who are a little older, and starting to see the skin sag!
Thank you! Extremely helpful. I am a whole 3 months younger than you 😉 haaaaapy birthday! Xo
Hahahaha yes then in that case this, + Bader. The big guns 😉 xo
This is the eye cream my derm has me use. I am 49 and really happy with my under eye. Granted for me it is the area with the least problem but I want to keep it that way!!
Ah yay, thanks for the endorsement!
hollowness! yes! I’ve been struggling with how to describe why/how I look older around my eyes (I’m 37), because I don’t really get bags, and this is it – I feel like I look like Cillian Murphy in Peaky Blinders, haha, stressed and tired and getting old. I will add this to my list 🙂
Yeah! It’s a weird combo of hollow and slightly puffy? Whatever it is, I hate it!! This has been the best solution. It’s def been worse for me since COVID – the stress does not help!!!!
I am not a MLM person but I tried the Monat under eye 30 second miracle and I LOVE it. I don;t use it every day, but when I need it.
I am not a Monat sales person****

Oh interesting! I actually think my mom has this and loves it too.
I’ve been meaning to purchase, pls share what you hate about the packaging?!? I usually like the pump vs a jar any day due to sanitary concerns. Thanks
I’m so sorry I should have clarified. It’s perfectly functional, I just think it’s really ugly. I hate the logo and the teal color. (I have such a small bathroom with not much storage so packaging matters, haha!)
I totally agree with you about the illuminating eye cream being amazing. I have been using it for about four months and it has drastically improved my dark circles and crow’s feet. I also HATE the packaging and trust me we aren’t the only ones lol. I didnt click to see what else they sent you but I use the Overnight Smoothing Creme every night about 20 minutes before I lay down for the night. It’s expensive ($130) but not as expensive as their other serums and after doing some research they all have basically the same ingredients. I get mine from LovelySkin.com and since I’ve been a customer for so long I get a certain percent off every purchase, everytime I shop. I have read some really bad reviews about LovelySkin but I haven’t ever had an issue nor have the 15 to 20 people that I’ve sent to LS and now they are faithful customers. Anyway, Neocutis also has an excellent Glycolic Acid wash. I have also tried their tinted sunscreen but I don’t care for it. If you are already seeing good results with the eye creme just wait until you’ve been using it for 4 or 5 months. You will definitely not mind that price tag so much lol. I haven’t ever used the Augustus Bader but I really want to. Is it really as good as people say it is? Have you tried the cleanser?
Hi Jennifer! Wow thank you so much for all the recs! YES Bader is as good as people say. I have lots of reviews on the blog. The cleanser is really nice but if I weren’t gifted it I don’t think I’d pay for it. I don’t think it’s worthwhile spending a lot on a cleanser as it’s on your face for such a short period of time!
Hi Grace and pals-I love (LOVE!) this cream!
Stress/insomnia/turning over 30-my eye area started needing TLC in 2020. I’ve already purchased as holiday gift for my Mom, it’s just fantastic-also I use pretty conservatively, so this bottle already seems like it will last for a while.
Grace, would you (or apologies if you have) consider a ‘minor’ cosmetic procedure round-up from friends/readers? I just finished MiraDry treatment at a plastic surgeon to prevent underarm sweat/odor-I SO wish I did it sooner! Zoom calls are making me feel bad about my tech neck.
Hi Grace, I really love your beauty posts and the products you recommend, and was waiting for an eye cream post. But sadly we cannot get neocutis in Spain, could you recommend any good Eye countour, good for dry, sensitive, and wrinkles in this eye zone. Thank you so much
I don’t really have visibility on what’s available where… I’d recommend searching eye cream on my blog, I have tried quite a few over the years and only endorse the ones I truly love!
I have sensitive, dry skin and lines under my eyes, well, HAD lines. After using Biopelle Tensage Day Radiance Eye Cream they’ve nearly completely disappeared. I have tried several well-liked, luxury eye creams but Biopelle blows them all away. After 8 weeks you could barely tell I ever had any lines, and they were pretty bad before. I quit using it, the lines came back after around 3 months, I started using it again, 8 weeks they were gone. Haven’t been without it since. I think it is in Spain, though am not certain.
Oh wow I am going to look into it!!!!!
Update: Just ordered. Influenced!!!
Oh! Thank you so much, It seems a really good potion. I’m sure I’ll try it!
A really good option * thank you Mendy
I ordered it too! Intrigued!
Okay I need this!

The best!
Do you use Bader cream with this? If so, which do you use first? Thanks!
Yes! According to Caroline Hirons (you should read her Skincare book, it’s a masterclass!) eye cream is always first – it has special actives targeted to the area (especially this one) so you want to make sure those are absorbed!
I definitely will try this. I always eye patch before anything. Then I use a serum. Loving the Clarins. And then I am really liking the Innbeauty Project bright and tight eye cream and the Phix eye cream. Right before makeup I use the Colleen Rothschild illuminating eye cream. I skip the eye serum at night, go with a cream with the Jouer slugging balm with Vitamin K and caffeine. Dark circles be gone. But I am intrigued by this and am always open to try something new.
