Please excuse my lack of fashion/beauty blogging today… (I’ve got some great stories/ideas planned to work on over the weekend.) It has just been one of those weeks…. (you know… 5 meetings before 11am, feeling like the to-do list never gets any shorter no matter how hard you work, attempting to get to the gym, and feeling just downright tired, worn down, anti-social, and grumpy by the end of the day.)
On top of that comes a lot of anxiety that we start to experience in our mid to late twenties. Being a good person, being a good friend, trying to be so many things to so many people, and worrying whether or not people like you. Wondering if you are living up to your full potential. And on top of that, wanting to somehow make a difference in the world and add something good. (It’s sort of a lot of pressure!)
I stumbled upon this image via one of the blogs (Silver Lining) that I read, and thought it was just so perfect.
I’m trying to shift my perspective and think of all the good things going on. An amazing family, probably the best boyfriend in the world, and a close-knit group of friends who I can count on and trust. All the rest? Well, it just doesn’t really matter. In the meantime, I’m going to focus my efforts on taking more chances, worrying less about what people think, living life to its fullest, and doing the things that make me happy. (This blog is one of them.)
Here’s to taking chances and believing that everything happens for a reason.
