Recently, I have self-diagnosed my skin with Seasonal Affective Disorder. As the seasons change and the winter doldrums roll in, my skin has become depressed. The symptoms? Tightness, itchiness, and (gasp…) unsightly flaking.
Enter Sunday Riley Juno. A friend (who just happens to have gorgeous, glowy, perfect skin) swears by it, and suggested I give this one a try. I’ve already professed my love for Sunday Riley’s products here, here, and here, so it didn’t take much convincing to try this one.
Juno is a lipid serum. It’s consistency resembles olive oil. It sort of has a food-like smell to it, which was off-putting at first, but I was willing to overlook this in my pursuit for silky skin. It contains a blend of retinols, Vitamin C, amino acids, and omegas. I’d never tried a face oil before so a part of me feared it would make me break out.
After washing my face, I smoothed two pumps of the serum onto my face and it instantly disappeared into my skin. No greasiness, just instant hydration and relief for my skin. No more tight itchy face (or gross flakes.) Just soft, silky skin. Oh – and for the record, the funny smell goes away the second the oil absorbs into your skin.
I’ve been using it for about a week and my winter skin crisis seems to have been averted… plus I’ve got a bit of a glow going on. Officially hooked.
