Nora Ephron once said, ““We all look good for our age. Except for our necks.” Oof. Isn’t that the truth, though? There’s always something to worry about. The skin around our eyes. The backs of our hands. Our necks. The skin on your neck is different than the skin on your face. For one thing, it is thinner (and more prone to take on that crepe paper-like appearance as we age). For another, it has fewer oil glands than the rest of your skin… meaning you probably rarely will experience breakouts… but you’re more likely to show premature aging. Hello, turkey neck.
And besides all that, now there is a new issue (mostly affecting us millenials who are so obsessed with our phones). Tech Neck. The average person looks down at their phone 221 times a day. Add to that: hunching over our computer screens, spending the better part of our days sitting, and (if you’re a bookworm like me) a non-tech factor: curling up with a book at night. Besides giving you need for a massage, that repeated motion of looking down at your tech devices can lead to tech neck: horizontal neck lines, aka “tree rings,” and sagging on the neck and décolletage area. Sheesh – yet another reason to stay off our phones, friends!
At age 34, my own neck still looks pretty good, but that is because I take care of it properly.
In my own life, I have been trying to stay off my phone. I’ve written about how our phones are addicting. Still, I’m always texting… or laying in bed at night on Instagram. And a big part of my actual job is done on my phone, so it’s hard to escape.
In using Strivectin TL Advanced Light Tightening Neck Cream every day for a solid month (I take my product testing seriously), the skin on my neck feels visibly smoother, hydrated, and (most importantly) firmer and lifted. I’ve said it before. Friends think I’m low maintenance as I don’t wear much makeup, but I am crazy about skincare. I live in fear of those “tree circles.”
The product has a gel-like consistency. It’s cool to the touch, glides on and isn’t the least bit greasy. I really like that it’s so lightweight. The original Strivectin Neck Cream, StriVectin TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream, is the #1 best selling neck cream in department stores… this new formula delivers the same results but is much lighter than the original, making it more suitable for younger skin. Though my skin does err on the dryer side, this one worked perfectly for me.
Jusssst working on my Tech Neck… 🙁

I will check it out! And definitely take better care of your neck – you only get one! 😉 xx
I have never heard of this issue lmao. I’m glad the neck cream worked for you. I’ve definitely become more interested in skincare as I age. I’m only 23 right now but I like emphasizing skincare these days because I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup. I just hate the way it feels. And I don’t like looking like I’m wearing a lot or like I look different with it on. Just a little amped up version of my bare face 🙂

Haha! You are still so young. But yes, take good care of your skin. I did when I was your age and I’m so thankful for that!
58 years old is there anything for that age
Hi Kathy! Yes! This product will suit you very well, or try the original – which is a bit more creamy and better suited for mature skin. http://www.strivectin.com/tl-tightening-neck-cream.html
Thanks for stopping by! xx
My grandmother advised me to start using cream on the neck area in order to prevent future wrinkles. I’ve been using facial cream because I never found cream specially made for the neck. Good to know it does exist! I’d love to try it out 🙂
It does! Hope you give it a try! xx
I always moisturize my neck but OMG I look down at my phone so much I’m totally going to get a tech neck. 🙁
Hahaha – didn’t mean to scare you. But yeah. Yet another thing to worry about!!!
