I bought this dress when I was in London, shopping with Briony. We were at Liberty and the color combination stopped me in my tracks. It’s made by a brand called YMC, which stands for “You Must Create.” Love that. I’ve said this before but a good striped t-shirt dress is hard to find. You’d think it would be easier as it’s something so basic but they are always too boxy (or too tight – ew!) or the fabric isn’t quite thick enough. It really needs to be nice and structured to look good. This one fits the bill AND it has pockets… yes!
Also.. ordinarily, I’m not really a sneakers girl. So many of my girlfriends look so cute wearing sneakers but I always feel a little bit frumpy when I do… unless I’m in my workout gear, of course. I have lots of slip on sneaks (these pineapples being my favorite!) that I love… but I’d rather wear ballet flats or loafers… I just feel more “me” wearing them, and they’re usually just as comfortable. Alas, I really love this pair. I got them over a year ago and they just make me so happy. I guess when they’re metallic + a little sparkly, that changes things a little.
I hope you guys are having a great week. Thank you so much for the kind words on Monday’s post. It’s been a hard week for my family and I but your sweet comments really helped. Xo

I feel similarly to you with the sneakers. I just can’t do it outside of athletic wear.

obsessed with those sneakers! SO CUTE!
I love the dress + sneakers look! I can never seem to pull it off but you do it well! — SC at http://www.samanthachic.com
Ok, you just made me reconsider sneakers; I am similarly allergic to athletic wear outside of the gym and will always wear ankle boots or cute ballet flats when I want something comfortable and easy, but now I’m going to hunt down a pair that doesn’t feel frumpy when teamed with jeans or a dress.
Come back soon for more London shopping!
