Alright you guys… I have to admit, today feels a little bit like my Christmas, as my capsule collection for Ben-Amun is live!!! I could not be more excited to share it with you today.
From the minute we started discussion, I knew exactly what I wanted… it had to be a collection of seventies-inspired, roman coin jewelry. I’m not sure why but no one is doing a good job with coin jewelry right now – I’d been looking to buy some and couldn’t find anything I liked anywhere unless it was vintage. I also wanted my collection to be versatile – be the sort of thing where you could pile on every single piece from the collection for a dramatic look, or just wear one or two items for everyday. We ultimately settled on three pairs of earrings, four necklaces, and two bracelets. Everything is meant to be mixed + matched, or worn on their own. I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out.
Working with Isaac, who has been creating costume jewelry for over 30 years, was a dream come true. To collaborate with someone that has dressed style icons ranging from Jackie O to Kate Moss to Rihanna – there are no words! I also love that everything Isaac designs and manufactures is done here in New York City, so it all feels very special and close to home. I’d long been a fan of the brand (their quality is incredible) but what was particularly exciting to me was visiting Ben-Amun’s space. Their factory is in New York’s fashion district (adjacent to their showroom) and as I gave them ideas for pieces, they were able to create samples for me on the spot. I’d never seen anything like it!
I’d love to hear your thoughts – take a peek at the collection, and let me know your favorite piece in the comments.
The hero piece is probably the long coin necklace as it is ultra versatile. You can wear it long or double it up… or even wrap it around your wrist a few times as I did here. It was inspired by one that Kate Moss wore (see a photo of her here!) which was also designed by Ben-Amun.
That being said, I have to say, this bib necklace is also ultra special – we modeled it after a vintage YSL necklace (inspiration shot here!) that I had been contemplating purchasing but just couldn’t pull the trigger on. I like ours better – rather than seashells, it features coins… which you may be able to tell, are my current obsession!
This single pendant necklace is another favorite. For everyday wear, it’s probably your best bet – it goes with everything I own!!! I love wearing a simple long necklace – it’s flattering (it elongates your body) and just easy!!!
These earrings are another stand-out product. I wore them to my dinner with L’Oreal last night and nearly every single person asked me about them. They make such an incredible statement and (again) the quality is fantastic.
