Statement Shells

I love a fun shell motif. You can check out last year’s round up of shell pieces but if you ask me… this year’s shells are even better! I of course love shell jewelry (and there is SO much great shell jewelry on the market right now) but it extends beyond that. Dresses, bags, art… even a champagne bucket (so fun!). You can go subtle (the delicate embroidery on this shirt is chef’s kiss) or dramatic (this bra and skirt set makes a surefire statement!).

I’ve been getting so much wear out of this delicate shell pendant. It layers seamlessly with all of my other jewelry. This set of three hair clips is on my wish list, for a party it would be fun to pull my hair back into a low bun and place these all around one side of my face. (This claw clip is also great for a more everyday look!). I’m seriously contemplating this bag. It’s a work of art and was just marked down. But also: how cute is this bucket hat? I love!

Last but not least, we can’t forget about art. Two Charleston artists that I really admire have great shell pieces. Lia Burke Libaire and these beautiful watercolors… or this southern oysters print by Misserian.

PS – for the most splurgeworthy but exquisite pieces, check out Marisa Klass! I love her one-of-a-kind pieces and the way she combines gemstones with shells. It’s special and unique.
