Spring Shoe Edit

Today’s round-up of shoes is a fun one. I feel like last year, the denim and pants silhouettes all changed. This year was a big year for shoes. What makes me happiest is that comfort is KEY. Black flip flops are trendy? Great! (Thank you, The Row!). Dad sandals and ballet flats? Yes please. My feet have never been happier.

Grace:

The two styles of shoes that I am gravitating toward most right now are interesting ballet flats (especially mesh/woven) and dad sandals. I can’t get enough of my dad sandals. I bought a gold pair from Chanel a few years ago that is still my most worn pair but I’ve branched out (this raffia pair form Steve Madden is truly so wonderful) and now have an entire army. These mesh pumps are another new fav. They are stunning in person. All the trendiness of a fun mesh flat with a little bit of a heel to lengthen the legs. Other notable new favs: my Chloe sneakers (splurgy but so fun), the under $100 mesh flats that Carly and I both bought, these uber comfy J.Crew slides, my fav platforms from last year. I highly recommend as I stomped around Venice in them with no foot or back pain, lucky for us they are back again this year.

Carly:

In order to tame my spending (at least I try), I usually spend the beginning of each season creating Pinterest boards of style inspiration and pieces that I’d like to incorporate into my looks. This year a LOT of the looks were either accessorized with flats or sneakers. One pin that stood out to was of Dakota Johnson in a classic look with simple trousers and a button down, sporting the coolest mesh flats by Alaรฏa. While they are currently not in my price range, these Steve Madden look-a-likes are equally as perfect. I had (shamelessly) seen a video on TikTok too that claimed Massimo Dutti to be the “average woman’s” The Row (LOL). The brand is serving up simple silhouettes this season, similarly to The Row, and I instantly fell in love with these suede flats. The color and shape? YES!
