Snail Mail.

2

Snail mail is one of my favorite things (to send and receive) in the world.  There’s nothing better than sitting down with a cup of tea on a quiet Sunday morning and writing a thoughtful note to friends or family.  In a world that is getting more and more digital by the minute, it feels a little bit old fashioned, and definitely very special to send or receive a thoughtfully written note.  I’ve always loved pretty note cards, especially when they are personalized.  (These are a really pretty option – love the oversized monogram.)  Last year I splurged on these in hot pink (I love the extra thick cardstock, the thermography, and the metallic liner inside…)  If you want a pretty monogrammed option for less money, I love this set… and for a non-monogrammed option, I also love these… cheeky + fun, and how great is that glitter liner?  Scroll through for more of my favorite options, below. {image source}

P.S.  For extra credit, add a wax seal!  {a post of mine from 3 years ago…}

P.P.S.  It’s stationEry not stationAry… a little spelling pet peeve of mine.  😉

    I LOVE stationary and I can’t wait to get a wax seal. Just waiting until we move so I can have updated return addresses on my new cards.

    I have been SUPER into stationery lately. I was in San Diego earlier this week and came across Seaside Papery, an adorable little store that carries the Curly Girl line. I could have spent all my money in that little shop.

    Letter writing seems to be a lost art. That’s why it’s extra special now.

    I love stationEry and letters. We tried to use wax seals on our wedding invitations but made it through about 5 before the seal got stuck in the wax and detached from the wood handle. Also, sealing wax is wicked sticky and like napalm. Don’t get it on your fingertips with their thousands of nerve endings.

    I love snail mail too and I think it’s so important to keep that tradition alive. I have a wax seal stamp somewhere- this post is inspiring me to dig it up and put it to use again!

    I have a total weakness for beautiful stationery! And it’s always a wonderful surprise to get an actual letter in the mail! (p.s. I think people get confused because stationAry is also a word, so it doesn’t look weird even though it’s wrong in this context.)
