SK-II Pop-Up!

 SK-II

Psst… from April 4th to May 23rd, one of my favorite skincare brands, SK-II, is hosting a pop-up studio (at 468 Broome Street if you are in New York, or 117 Post Street if you are in San Francisco!) At the pop-up, you’ll have the opportunity to experience a skin consultation from a trained SK-II brand ambassador using the brand’s trademark beauty imaging technology.

I first became familiar with SK-II while working for its parent company. We were trained on the brand and learned about Pitera (which was actually discovered at a Japanese brewing company – the workers had wrinkled faces but incredibly young looking hands. This came from being in constant contact with the sake fermentation process. And in 1980, a cult favorite product (the treatment essence) was born. You probably recognize the brand from the ads with Cate Blanchett in them – she’s a brand ambassador, as is Kate Bosworth. Both ladies (not coincidentally), have amazing skin.

SK-II defines perfect skin by wrinkle resilience, refined texture, radiance, firmness and even skin tone. The brand believes that the journey to achieving these five dimensions is unique for every individual. The Beauty Imaging Device analyzes skin to help the participant discover their true skin age — and prescribe a unique regimen. Over time, SK-II encourages its users to go back to the Beauty Imaging Device to qualify and quantify the effect of the Pitera miracle on their skin.

As I mentioned earlier, at the pop-up, you can try and play with the product, and you’ll be able to get your own personalized consultation using the Beauty Imaging Device – I hope to feel empowered by the results (as eye-opening as they may be) as a part of my journey towards perfect skin.

  1. Heidi:

Cate Blanchett probably has some of the best skin in the world so anything that she’s putting her name to is definitely worth a look!
