Do you have any beauty products that you forget about? I do. And I had forgotten ALL about one of my most favorite face masks until I read this article on Into the Gloss last week. Turns out, Emma Stone’s gorgeous Oscar-night skin was due in part to Sisley’s Black Rose Cream Mask. You guys, it’s divine. I’ve featured it here on the blog before (in my favorite face masks and in this post). And so I thought I would talk to you a little bit more today, along with two other products that when combined, are the perfect cocktail for plumped up, dewy, glowy, luminous skin. I’ve used all three of these products on their own a zillion times but tried out this little three-step routine on Sunday when I had a hangover – it fixed my tired skin in an instant!
Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask is wonderful as you apply a thin layer to clean dry skin and then (after 10-15 minutes) just tissue off the excess for plump, hydrated skin. The results are pretty amazing – in just 10-15 minutes, skin looks more youthful, brightened, and energized. It’s great on all skin types but especially good if your skin is feeling dry and parched.
thisworks stress check face oil is a brand new favorite. I started testing it about a month ago and kept on using it as I love the results – and the calming scent. You know by now that I love a good face oil. (If you haven’t, be sure to check out this post I wrote: Everything you Could Ever Want to Know About Face Oil… it has all the information you could ever need about oils, along with several other product suggestions.) What makes this one special is that it is made especially for stressed out skin. It contains an intense blend of oils (including Vitamin C and E) and smells amazing – it contains Neroli, Patchouli, Lavender, and Chamomile which help to relieve stress and tension. After wiping off the excess from the mask, I take a dropper full of the oil, warm it between my fingers, and pat the oil into my skin (don’t rub, pat!!!) for instant radiance and glow. Ugh, oils are just the best.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter Poured Crème in Opal. So, I’m all for skincare and nutrition as a means of a way to glow without cosmetics but sometimes you need to cheat a little with luminizer. Becca makes the best highlighters. A year and a half ago I featured this highlighter from them and I still think it’s amazing but lately I’ve been into the Poured Creme as it’s a lot easier to apply. I just use my fingers to dot it along anywhere that needs a little extra glow: inner corners of eyes, brow bone, cheek bone, bridge of nose, clavical, etc. It’s so pretty, and basically fool proof. If you’re nervous that you applied too much, just buff with a BeautyBlender sponge.
I have been using face oil for years – will have to try these!

Hope you do – it’s a really good one!
I need to check out that face oil! In terms of skincare products I forgot about, it was this Garnier rollerball with a little bit of tint and caffeine to wake up your eyes. My friend Bethany mentioned it over lunch and I forgot how much I loved it! Popped into Duane Reade right after and have been enjoying it since 😉
Oh my gosh I used to have that too! It WAS good, and it was stolen by a boyfriend!!!
oh man, now you’ve totally found another face oil i HAVE TO try!

Any recommendations for those of us who can’t quite afford the Sisley price tag? (Someday!)

So I couldn’t find any tissue off masks at a more affordable option…so here are two ideas!
1 – applying a thin layer of pond’s cold cream will probably have a similar plumping effect. it’s thick and luxurious, and you are fine to just tissue it off.
2 – sheet masks! similar to the tissue off masks, these stay on your skin (you just rub in the excess afterward), giving you that plumped up look. sephora has a bajillion, with lots of different types based upon your individual concerns: https://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sephora.com%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.jsp%3Fkeyword%3Dsheet%2520masks%26mode%3Dall&pid=uid7025-504705-83
hope that is helpful! xo
