I absolutely love red. I’ve never had my colors done, but I do know that red (especially a warmer red!) flatters my skin tone. It’s one of those colors I always feel my best in, alongside turquoise, emerald green, and cobalt. A power color! When I spotted this dress, I gasped. The three-dimensional flower applique is just so special and unique. I have several special events planned for this fall and intend to wear this to at least one of them. It is a magical dress, that’s for sure.
my favorite red pieces for fall
Other red favorites? I just got this ribbed cotton sweater from Demylee and love it. Same with this one from Naadam. I sized up in the Naadam for a roomier fit, fyi. And of course, my absolute favorite La Ligne Colby pants. I got mine two years ago, but luckily, the brand still makes them. They are the perfect pants. I have them in cotton, satin, wool… truly, the best. GRACE10 works if you are a new customer. Also, this anorak. A cute little red anorak had been on my wish list for a while and this one is beautiful.
Outfit Details: AKNVAS Dress (also here and here, I recommend sizing up!), Olympia Le-Tan clutch (I got mine on The RealReal), Andrea Gomez Sandals, Juju Vera Earrings

I’m really intrigued if your “affordable” or “reasonably priced” picks are for anyone realistically living today…besides, perhaps, an influencer making a ton of money by posting what they wore or read. A deal = $200 plus pants and sweaters…This is obviously not my corner of the internet, but I’ve been generally interested to see what you post after reading about you and your site…But, I cannot grasp the prices. When you link a piece that says, really affordable or great price and it’s a t-shirt for $100 or a dress for $300, I am left speechless. I’m sure this won’t get posted, since I see that there are very comments on posts. I thought there would be some discussion of this on your site or in the comments, but I don’t think many comments get through…
I hear you. Everyone’s definition of “affordable” is different, and I completely understand if my picks don’t align with yours. I share pieces I personally buy and wear, which means some items are splurges, some are more budget-friendly, and some fall somewhere in between.
To clarify, I don’t filter out or hide comments—there just aren’t always a lot of them. Blog comments have dwindled over the years, there is a lot more conversation going on over on on Substck.
If my style or price point doesn’t resonate with you, that’s totally fine! There are so many wonderful newsletters and blogs out there, and I hope you find one that feels like the right fit.
I love seeing the clothes you feature but how many women really spend $598 for a blouse. I’m affluent and have a lovely life but really????? Maybe there are so many wealthy people out there but this seems crazy!! How about some clothes that are more realistic… a $100 blouse seems like a big spend for me. Just a thought..,,,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I totally understand where you’re coming from—some of the items I share are definitely splurges, and they won’t be for everyone. That said, I do regularly include more accessible pieces on the blog and Instagram from brands like Madewell, J.Crew, Quince, and Anthropologie. I also put together plenty of under-$200 roundups for readers who prefer more budget-friendly options. My goal is to have a mix: some investment pieces for those looking to splurge, and more attainable finds as well. A lot of my readers do splurge and appreciate those more high-end picks. Of course, not every piece will resonate with everyone, but I hope there’s something for everyone to enjoy. I really appreciate your feedback. It helps me keep that balance in mind.
One more thing: I also wanted to highlight this ShopMy shelf: I update it every week with under $200 favorites in addition to everything else we’re doing. xx https://shopmy.us/shop/collections/1365444
