Even being years (and years) out of school, the start of Fall makes me want to clean up my act a bit and get everything nice and orderly. It started with a closet clean-out. Yesterday I took nine big bags of clothing to Crossroads to sell. Oof. Next is just (attempts at) getting everything else in order. The piles of receipts, the drawers of random things that I should probably just throw away… and so on and so forth.
And then there’s the gear. Fall makes me crave things that will help me be more productive/organized/etc. My big purchase this summer was my new camera. I bought the mirrorless Fujifilm X-T10 camera and absolutely love it. It’s so lightweight, easy to use, and has a cool wifi function making it easy to grab photos for Instagram. (I got this strap for it, which I also love.) I ended up buying just the body and two fixed lenses… 18mm and 35mm. It takes such crisp photos (and Fuji cameras seem to have the best color balance). Originally it was going to be my events/travel camera, but I like it a lot better than my 5D and have been using it for everything.
Here are a few grown up school supplies I’m loving right now… clockwise from top left…
