As I mentioned earlier in the week, we spent last weekend in Northport, Maine for a friend’s wedding. We stayed in a little cabin at the beautiful Point Lookout Resort. To get there from Manhattan, one must fly to Bangor and then drive just about an hour south. It was quite the trek! Needless to say, it was the furthest north (in Maine, at least,) I’ve ever been.
It was a treat to get out of the city and get some fresh air… and being a beach-fiend, I loved getting to see a new part of the New England Coast.
(Wildflowers growing on the side of the road)
(pushing 30, but still a big kid at heart.)
It was such a nice weekend – beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, and great company. I don’t know when I’ll get back there next, but I hope it’s sooner rather than later.
